What Actions were committed by Martin? Walking home in the rain, wearing a hoodie and taking on the phone is perfectly NORMAL behavior in neighborhoods all over the US.

Evidence supports George Zimmerman's claim that Trayvon Martin was on top of him when Zimmerman fired the shot that claimed Trayvon's life, a forensic pathologist testified Tuesday at Zimmerman's murder trial.

"The medical evidence is consistent with Mr. Zimmerman's statement," said Vincent Di Maio, an expert witness for the defense. The pathologist also found that Trayvon lived no more than three minutes after the shooting and probably was conscious for at least 10 to15 seconds.

Di Maio also testified that Zimmerman's head injuries could have been caused by coming into contact with concrete and that such injuries can be very dangerous. That testimony supported Zimmerman's claim that Trayvon was slamming his head into a sidewalk.

Di Maio said Zimmerman had at least six injuries from the struggle: two head lacerations, two wounds to his temples and wounds on his nose and forehead. Those injuries were consistent with having his head banged into a sidewalk, Di Maio said.

I agree but kids are stupid and don't always make good decisions, as this case clearly demonstrated. But GZ should have told TM who he was and what he was doing...period! What is so difficult about saying..."I'm the NW guy and you don't look familiar"...and that would have been it.

Agreed. Since we only have one side of the conversation, it's difficult to judge what either said. Still, clearly a fight started and just as clearly Martin had to blindside Zimmerman due to their size differences in order for Martin to literally gain the upper hand for a "ground and pound". Also, if Zimmerman was the aggressor, wouldn't this idiot have pulled his gun first?

 

Florida is full of rednecks and people like George.. I'm not impressed. George pursued Trayvon in the dark in the rain in his car and on foot. He wasn't "standing his ground"..

 

Travon could have outrun fatboy George by twice his speed. Travon could have just run for home.

 

I think that was part of the problem; once Martin got a good look at Zimmerman walking back under the lights, he thought he could take that "creepy ass-cracker".

 

Just a week or so ago in Florida.. A man verbally assaulted a woman over parking.. Her boyfriend came out and pushed him down. He killed the boyfriend.

Well that is simple, do not suddenly physically VIOLENTLY assault another older, weaker individual, and it is likely you will not get shot. Nobody was home except the younger boy and Trayvon had no house key. Those are just the facts.

I lived in a gated community and walked all hours of the day and night wearing a hoodie.. even in the rain.. Lots of teens Asians, Blacks, Whites.. mostly students.. They caught the city bus just out side the gates.. so they also walked in all kind of weather.. and lots of them wore hoodies.

Martin did not seek anyone out. Obviously Zimmerman posed a threat to him or a potential threat. Martin was minding his own business between the store and his father's house. The encounter was initiated by Zimmerman who started the chain of events that led to that confrontation and led to Martin's death.
