    ???

It is not done to copy COMPLETE articles.
From what I know, it is even illegal.
It is the normal thing to copy a few lines and then give a link to the whole article.

Palmer may be lots of things, but he certainly is not a racist.
Try to get the full picture!

Once upon a time, we used to recite the "sticks and stones" rhyme. Today, if you utter words, you are subjected to the sticks and stones... Times change. The thinness of the skins of the woke just cannot be understated. Liberals will diddle little kids but you can't call them names because of it....

Here's a test. Can an African American use the complete library of N words to describe themselves or others? If not, why not? Because there sure seems to be a double standard. And the opposite side of this conversation is, can a caucasian person say it, and if not, why not? Does simply uttering the words make someone racist? And if it does, why isn't the standard applied to all people who say it?

For those who claim to be so offended, justify it.

I meant that your article does not actually mention what the slur was.

If you use the N-word in public you are either stupid or racist.

Lol. He even admitted he was wrong.

Palmer said he would seek “professional help” to prevent himself from reacting inappropriately when he feels unjustly attacked in the future.

    And he's a holocaust denier

In Monday’s statement, Palmer apologized to “those I’ve disappointed” and said that a mayor “should never speak that way.” The 50-year-old, whose grandfather was Jewish, added that he’s “incredibly sorry” at having given the impression that he downplays the significance of the Holocaust...

Well maybe, but apparently he used the N word a lot, which unless you're a rapper, instead of a mayor, isn't usually done.

I couldn't find any particular reason in the article why he used that word repeatedly.

People who don't understand why there's an exception for black people to say N are either stupid or dishonest.

The exception itself is dishonest. If the word is offensive, it doesn't matter who utters the word. Period. Otherwise, it actually demonstrates what actual racism is. If I said other races can't refer to white folks as (insert whatever epithet) but no other race could use that word because it was "reserved" for only white folks, you'd call that racist. And frankly you'd be right. It's like gay folks being able to call each other the F word but no one else can because it is homophobic. It's a double standard that actually defines itself from the allowable usage.

I expect that you have now changed for tune then right?

I have no skin in the game. Some things you can push back against but this isn't one of them.

Do you miss using the word? Assume you did since it was fairly common to use 90s and earlier.

LOL... Yes, actually we can push back, and we should. The use reservation is itself a racist practice.

I agree that push-back is necessary against cancel culture. It is just a matter of picking these fights wisely.
