Russia has been trying to reach a diplomatic solution AT LEAST since 2014 and the Minsk Agreement. Lavrov and Putin have stated clearly for many long years that NATO in Ukraine was a redline they could not accept. Government cables released by Wikileaks confirm that the west knew they were provoking Russia. It was a goal of government policy.

He chose to annex Ukrainian territory by force and create a military conflict where there was none previously. He did so to capture territory for his Russia. Come 2022, he sought to finish what he had started by taking out the Ukrainian government entirely and occupying and eventually annexing more of Ukraine. It did not go quite to plan, but he did go ahead with trying to annex parts of the east that conveniently form a land bridge to Crimea, his most prized stolen real estate.

The PT-91 is a Polish-made battle tank that came into service in the 1990s. It was developed from the Soviet-era T-72 range.

Transnistria will get dealt with when all this is over. It is on borrowed time. There is no way Ukraine will tolerate Russia soldiers sitting to its rear. The issue is what to do with it once the vermin have been cleared out. It is not clear that Moldova wants to deal with the pro-Moscow scum who run the place now. Moldova's poltics are already pretty toxic. Adding that demographic may tip the entire nation in the wrong direction.

Yours is the false statement. It is not up to the US to negotiate with Putin it is Ukraine who he invaded. Putin does not want negotiations anyway he wants Ukraine to capitulate, to accept the occupied territories as Russia. Puck Futin.

 

Bessarabia needs to bevsplit 70-30 , with the part bordering Rumania given to Rumania. The part bordering Ukraine to Ukraine. Of course that is only after the vermin and scum are kicked out or otherwise eliminated.

It is not up to Russia to say if Ukraine should or can belong in NATO. It is up to Ukraine and NATO. The hard truth is that Russia invaded the Krym and went into the Donbas. Last year Russian invaded the main part of Ukraine. They are the terrorist invaders. Russia does not want to negotiate they only want Ukraine to capitulate.
