Soon, the first step in world unity will be taken. Sometime in the near future, a global research facility will open for the first time. It will be a privately owned facility, sponsored by individuals and governments alike. It will aim to unite the scientific minds around the world, replacing a former sense of competition with a worldwide comradery, and expediting the development of technology. The research will be made available to the world free of charge, so the facility will be kept alive purely by grants and government sponsorship. It is a small step, but the first of many on the road to a united world.

Most scientists can go anywhere in the world to do research, and usually do. The comradery already exists. I bump into the same crowds all over the planet. The borders in science are easy to cross, much more than any other field I would say.

i will agree that the exceptional ones do as they feel fit and often like tesla, einstein...etc... they are not in a group and work until dead

But i will sustain without exception; often many are worse than the religious when it comes to beliefs (in benchmarks)

And every evening, all the researchers will gather around a campfire and sing Kumbayah......

With the rise of the information age, people from anywhere in the world can communicate effortlessly, removing the need to haveindependent reaearchers literally working in the same place. It would accomplish nothing. However, if partnership is what you are talking about, only an international project will get that done. Look, for example, at the ISS, whose Russian-American construction symbolized an end to the space race, and in a sense, to the cold war. If you are looking for unity, it will be accomplished through a common goal, not by cramming a few unfamiliar scientists in a room together.

UN sponsored and approved I guess, with only UN approved science being practiced?

I guess it would only be acceptible if it were jackdog approved science.

it ain't paranoia if they really are out to get ya, UN and science don't mix well just look at the joke of the IPCC and what a travesty that evolved into
