The Extremists are, of course, deliberately naive, like all forelock-tuggers. Do they really believe that the destruction of the planet by their masters means that the temperature will go up everywhere, every minute, forever? No, of course they don't - they are just striking the usual tedious right-wing attitudes.

And, as the Warmists so accurately claimed in 2000, "snowfall is now a thing of the past".

You think we're having storms bigger than ever? Seriously? How do you know they're bigger than the ones 10,000 years ago, 100,000 years ago, 1,000,000 years ago, 10,000,000 years ago, 100,000,000 years ago?

Oh and if you think I am claiming to know than the average "expert" on the matter, then I submit to you simply cannot read simple English.

That's what I love about the term "Climate Change". It's been changing since Earth was a planet, but hysterical liberals are going beserk over it.

    Yes.

But again. I'm not a scientist and I'm not pretending to know more about science than scientists.

Y'all ain't gettin it. It's 'climate weirding' now. ANYTHING odd is now blamed on an anthropogenic cause.

They acually claim that less than 390 PPM (.000390) TOTAL Atmosperic CO2 is "changing the climate" and the less than 10% of THAT (.0000390) humans produce, is the "deciding factor".

    - - - Updated - - -

Ahhhh....yet, ANOTHER "redefining" of the parameters....I'm pretty sure that human CO2 emissions are DRIVING SOLAR ACTIVITY, as well....

Just off the top of my head, Galveston had 2 huge hurricanes over 100 years ago, that had winds over 150 miles per hour

We've always had big storms. What we haven't always had is a poltical agenda that benefits from them

That's why the term Global Warming was changed to Climate Change, removing "man-made" by the way, because the scientists were flat out WRONG with their predictions. The goal posts have been moving every year. By changing the term to something completely generic, they can't be wrong anymore. Its a brilliant marketing campaign, something I know a lot about. If I was in their shoes, its how I would treat it. Funny how science needs marketing to sell a concept, since the statistics should be enough to prove it.

Any time there is a "global crises", spouted by the government, you can be pretty sure it's just them attempting to profit from it.

In the 70's we were all warned about the coming ice age...with all the bluster and hype and support of the "scientists"...and we see how that panned out.

I've been hearing since I was old enough to understand "We're running out of oil!"....yet today we are pulling more of it out of the ground than ever before and we continue to find more, and bigger deposits of it.

All the stupid climate science we see flying around today all focuses, and accepts the premise that our CO2 emissions are the cause of climate change. Nothing is ever mentioned about other potential factors.

One thing is for sure though, in another 4 or so billion years the earth will cease to exist (if it isn't wiped out before then) as our sun continues to grow larger and larger, as all red giant stars do. The surface of the sun will eventually swallow the earth and humans and all life on it will cease to exist...unless we find out a way to move our race to another planet somewhere.

Since the sun is growing, makes you wonder if that might be a factor in the warming? Oh wait, it would seem there is at least one scientist who thinks so:

Sun Is Getting Hotter, Satellite Data Indicate
    Published: September 30, 1997

The Sun is getting hotter, adding heat to the global warming that has been linked to greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere.

Solar radiation reaching the Earth is 0.036 percent warmer than it was in 1986, when the current solar cycle was beginning, said a study published on Friday in the journal Science. The finding is based on an analysis of data from satellites that measure the temperature of sunlight.

The increase is only a small fraction of the Sun's total heat, but over a century, it would be enough to seriously aggravate problems of global warming, said Dr. Richard C. Willson of Columbia University's Center for Climate Systems Research.

Dr. Willson said most researchers expected greenhouse gases to warm the planet by 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit over the next 100 years. Solar irradiance could add another 0.72 degrees, he said.

Other experts agreed, although some argued that the satellite data used by Dr. Willson may be suspect.

''This is a significant increase,'' said Dr. John Firor of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo. ''It would increase the rate at which we go into warming.'' He said that based on current estimates, the solar heat increase found by Dr. Willson would increase that warming trend by about 20 percent.

Getting pinned down on "Global Warming" was a near fatal narrative error.

Google "Global Climate Disruption".....that's another scary term AGW cultists have floated. Nice and open ended....like they need it to be....complete with a sense of "menace". The whole package, as it were.....I'm not real sure why it hasn't caught on.

Yeah; it was Fox News.

How about the EAST ANGLIA CRU...aka: "The High Cathedral of the Warmist Religion".

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

Britain's winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives.

Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters - which scientists are attributing to global climate change - produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries.

The first two months of 2000 were virtually free of significant snowfall in much of lowland Britain, and December brought only moderate snowfall in the South-east. It is the continuation of a trend that has been increasingly visible in the past 15 years: in the south of England, for instance, from 1970 to 1995 snow and sleet fell for an average of 3.7 days, while from 1988 to 1995 the average was 0.7 days. London's last substantial snowfall was in February 1991.

Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community. Average temperatures in Britain were nearly 0.6°C higher in the Nineties than in 1960-90, and it is estimated that they will increase by 0.2C every decade over the coming century. Eight of the 10 hottest years on record occurred in the Nineties.

However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event".

"Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said.

So how are you measuring these storms? Oh and who is doing any pretending? What I aee is you making vague insinuations. Again, how do you know we are having the biggest storms EVER? And how do you define "chaos"?

Oh my gosh dude that article reads like satire from The Onion.

The global warming has been murder here in Virginia, Ace. May is here and we're sweltering in the 66 degree heat...

So much denialist fail, all combined in one thread. It's like a perfect storm of stupid.

-- Not knowing what a global temperature average is
-- Proclaiming that global warming means it will never snow
-- Bringing up the debunked "they predicted an ice age!" myth
-- Various retarded conspiracy theories about a mysterious socialist agenda
-- Claiming that the Bush-adminstration-invented term "Climate Change" was really invented by liberals.
-- Claiming that the spot-on correct AGW predictions never happened, and inventing an alternate history where the predictions were wrong.
-- Spouting the "You say everything is caused by global warming" crazy lie (because it allows them to handwave away any actual data, which is their goal).
    -- Cherrypicking single scientists somewhere
-- Trotting out the "but what about the past, huh?" stupidity.
-- Trotting out the "it's the sun!" stupidity.

Why are they that dumb? Because their cult orders them to be that dumb. Denialism isn't the actual cult, it's just one symptom of the right-wing-nutball-fringe political cult. There's a long list of politically correct conspiracy theories which those cultists are required to profess belief in, AGW denialism being just one of them. For example, the kooks will also tell you ozone depletion was a scam, that DDT was harmless, that Homeland Security is buying up all the bullets and amassing thousands of armored vehicles, that President Obama is a socialist, and so on.

LOL... yep it just struck here in Texas too. Here we are the beginning of May in the Dallas area, with a high of 52 degrees and tonight getting down to the upper 30s.

Frankly, we could use some global warming right about now.

Translation: Look people, I really don't have much to offer. I think I'll just hammer out a bunch of vague insinuations and hope no one calls me on the details.

Translator's Note: A few points. First off, you clearly need to read up on basic physics. The sun is where we get heat from. Therefore, the sun's activity has a direct result on temperatures here. And your line about Bush, not liberals, coining the term "climate change". George W. Bush was in fact a liberal as president. He checked all the right boxes: big spending, warmongering, big government health care programs, anti-civil rights, the list goes on. You acting as though he's something other than liberal is laughable. Oh and I loved your "trotting out the past" line. DUH! How else do you think conclusions are made about weather and climate without past climate and weather entering the picture?????

    ROFLMAO!!!

We have been experiencing one of the coldest Spring seasons ever recorded in the United States as temperatures across the country have been the lowest on average since 1975, the 2nd lowest ever…

Ummmmm! Spring isn't over yet. How can you state "one of the coldest Spring seasons ever recorded" if we're still in the middle of spring? :wall:

This spring is the second coldest since records have been kept. I guess there isnt much global warming around.

Simply put if global warming was a fact and is what caused this last storm it would have be a RAIN storm not a snow storm. Global warming loons can go out and pee their false BS in the snow!!!!!!
