Someone used this copout in another thread. I'll just paste some of my response, as well as elaborate.

They tell us that our feeble minds cannot comprehend god, and therefore, we are not worthy of judging him in anyway. It's a lazy attempt to avoid valid criticism of their religious ideas.

Have you not judged god by your own "human values?" You judge god to be good, do you not? You judge your idea of god to be true. Yet, you're using your human values and brain to judge him worthy of your loyalty and belief. Don't create a double standard. Whenever someone is critical of your idea of god, you claim that god is above human judgement, yet, in order to hold that belief in high regard in the first place, you are making your own judgement.

Absolutely we make judgments about God. We have permission to do so. Unfortunately for folks like you, that permission is absent.

I don't really care what your Bible says. You're also using some seriously faulty reasoning. In order to become "spiritual" in the first place, you have to make a judgement on the religion, deeming it valid in your eyes.

The God of Christianity is a benevolent dictator in the best sense of the word... and is to be obeyed not judged. My problem with most Christians is that they cherry pick the Bible, keep the parts that suit them while disregarding those more pesky parts of the Bible like Matthew 7. Christians love to talk about how they are saved while pointing the bony finger of indignation at us heathens.
