Near death experience don't prove what the individuals that experienced it are claiming. At death, there is no consciousness, so what they experienced is something similar to a dream.

As for blind faith, pretty everybody does it all the time but they don't put in in that term. For example: when people put their trust in the government or politicians to do what is best for them.

To believe that human beings is a failed creation is to lack understanding......God is not done with mankind and God's plan is bigger than you know. Even most Christians are ignorant of God's plan.....the only part they know about is Jesus' sacrifice, but it does not stop there....there's more.

    Not really.

Of course we are, because other species aren't capable of evil at all, any more than they're capable of good.

I do not say "the bible is crap" and do not use "Sheep herders" in my arguments. The Bible is a compilation of many stories written over time.

Some of the Bible is "allegory" and was intended to be allegory.

It is not contradictory at all to take a certain passage and try and figure out what was meant.

Further, it is not contradictory to look at the history of the time a particular story was written in order to help understand what the words used actually meant.

The word "Logos" for example in John.

I do not take passages from the Bible and make up wild stories that have no way of being related back to the passage.

    You do.

When I do make a conjecture and then later on come across information that contradicts that conjecture, I reject that conjecture or at least change the part that is contradicted.

    You don't.

I hold Jesus in very high regard. If folks would just follow his primary message, I truly believe the world would be a better place.

The problem with Christians is most do not understand what the primary message of Jesus was. They also do not understand how this primary message has been incorporated into Western Gov't/Law and they conduct themselves in a manner that is against this "Primary" message. Yourself included.

Then you have the Church leaders that haves used Christianity to advance an evil agenda. It is important to understand this aspect of Christianity as well. Of course I have a problem with this... don't you ?

What is bizarre is how some adherents will try and defend the actions of such leaders "in the name of Christianity".

I call a spade a spade and this is a "TRUTH" that many adherents can not handle.

If it's down to intelligence, god could have made us more intelligent than this, so to prevent violence and ignorance. Not saying a lot more but just a bit. Yet we are little more than egoistic animals with a tendency to overestimate ourselves.

I memorably saw a cat playing with a mouse.

In the center of a large hardwood floor
    Cat had mouse
Tossed it high in the air
Mouse falls to floor and is stunned
    Then tried to run
    Caught by cat
    Tossed in the air.,.
    Again and again and again

Seemed pretty needlessly cruel to me
    But then again
That is how god toys with us too

Thank you for the polite response, but remember it is your OPINION that I "make up wild stories that have no way of being related back to the passage."

You can show me examples where you believe that is the case, if you will.
The charge you make is just fodder in lieu of actual criticism.

What I do is use History and facts and science and other sources to support what I say in every case.

Yes, that was what us called the original sin.

Reality created us such that we can discover Truth, and hence, know about the Reality.
But we chose to eat from the tree of the knowledge of what was good for us, and do evil if necessary to get it.

What do you mean by "a failed creation?"

Like all other life,... we struggle to survive personally, and we also have a drive to procreate into the future with children, all to the benefit of our species avoiding extinction.

Failed creation because god made us as a reflection of his own perfection yet we became sinful, arrogant, if not plain evil and sadistic. What went wrong?

Adam listened to the intuition of his wife, instead of the thoughts inside his mind,... about Truth.

Ok, without getting into all the scriptures here's a nutshell. God's plan of saving mankind is not just about Jesus' sacrifice that was prophesied in the Old Testament. Most Christians are unaware that the Bible speaks of three resurrections. This is God's plan on how He is going to save people who never heard about Jesus, or heard it but was never moved to believe.

The Bible(both the Old and New Testament) that everybody that has ever lived and have died will be resurrected, but each group in their own order or time. The fist ones (1st resurrection) to be resurrected will be the saints, prophets and other men and women of God.

The second group (2nd resurrection) will be everyone else that died.

The third group(3rd resurrection) will be the condemned ones......the ones that new the truth and was offered it but rejected it; they will be given their Judgment and be sentenced to death by fire.

The Bible say that the wicked will be ash under the feet of the saints. No one will spend eternity in a place called Hell. God didn't promised anyone eternal life in Hell(the word Hell is an old English word that means a hole in the ground anyway)....the Bible say that the wages for sin is death, but God's gifts is eternal life.

... not the tree of knowledge...

"Eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil."

That "tree" of ancient roots is what, inside us,... we call The Self.

I have pointed out the flaws in your claims countless times already. Just go back and read some of my older posts to you.

Claims in relation to Genesis, Prophecy being fulfilled, Revelations, your lack of understanding of the term "logos" in John and so on.

You start with a pre-ordained conclusion and then try and fit stuff from the Bible into that conclusion and ignore alternate possibilities. This is not how objectivity works.

The Bible doesn't speak of homosexuality very often. But when it does, it condemns it as sin. Let's take a look.

Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
Leviticus 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Romans 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
Homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible. It undermines God's created order when He made Adam and Eve, a man and a woman, to carry out His command to fill and subdue the earth (Genesis 1:28). Homosexuality cannot carry out that mandate. In addition, homosexuality undermines the basic family unit of husband and wife which is the God-ordained means of procreation. Again, homosexuality cannot do that. And, believe it or not, it is also dangerous to society. (See Is homosexuality dangerous?)

Homosexuality has a heavy judgment administered by God Himself upon those who commit it and support it.

"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error," (Romans 1:26-27).

As a result of being "given over," they can no longer see the error of what they are doing, will not seek forgiveness, and will not repent. They will then die in their sins and face God's righteous condemnation. We, as Christians, do not want this judgment to fall upon anyone.

But, their rebellion against God does not stop there. Those who are judged by God this way also promote it and condemn others who don't approve of their behavior.

"...and, although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them," (Romans 1:32).

So, in their "hearty approval" of homosexuality, they encourage others to accept their practice, and so their sin and rebellion against God spreads. This means they will reject Christ's redemptive work on the cross. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, they will have no salvation. Without salvation, there is only damnation in eternal Hell. Again, we don't want this for anyone. We do not want it for homosexuals, for adulterers, for murderers, for liars.... for anyone. Everyone can find forgiveness in Jesus.

    Persecution of the non-politically correct?
The Bible's view of homosexuality is not politically correct . . . and this is a concern. Will the Bible soon be considered hate speech by the moral-less majority? There is already significant social pressure being put on the American populace to accept homosexuality as normal and healthy.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some influential Christian try to ignore such verses and say that God loves gays as he does the rest. And no doubt, like without a brain, as it always have been, the blind masses will follow.

Sort of like the whole earth is 4000 years old thing. Christians didn't believe that the earth was as old as scientists said it was. And it wasn't until the Catholic Church acknowledged it and influential Christians repeated this acknolegement that majority of Christians began to think differently.

It's kind of a sad existence really. To be so bound to dogma to the point that you can't think for yourself.

    We all have a Self.

The psychologists call this our "Reality Principle."

But when the scriptures says, "eat from this tree,"... it refers to archetypal dominance.
We all can use the Self in many different ways,... but relying upon the Self, to be unselfish,... is foolish.

We need dominate our Self,... by passing its ideas through our Conscience, ... which we also have.

You fail to realize that you have read things and talked with others, ... forgetting that I tell you things you never heard before.
You merely repeat all the stuff you heard before,.. much of it wrong, anyway.

    Why...?
    Why, why, why,...

Why would god be so against Gay guys?
That is the important though we need examine,...
This is so we can tell the Gay guys,...

The first reason is that Gays come "OUT."
They tell all the other guys,... who are also playing, alone,... with themselves,... that they can all do it,... together.

That creates a massive, wide open,... sexual revolution... on the Culture, involving half the younger generation,... the guys.

    1) you have said little that I have not already heard
    2) Just because you say something new (make a new claim) does not make that claim true not constitute justification for that claim
    3) You have not proven a single thing I have said wrong ..
    4) I do not merely repeat stuff I have heard before ... much of my material is from "me".
    5) Repeating things that I have heard elsewhere does not make them wrong.

    6) Forgive me but, the idea that a someone who has been indoctrinated by fundamentalist ideology telling me "you fail to realize that you have been influence by the words of others" is preposterous.

    7) Getting back to the Topic - What do you think about the idea that God will embrace homosexuals as they are his own creation ?

    Well, by your rules, then,...

Gen 1:1 says,... the Universe had a beginning,... it was an Act-of-God as far as we know, too.
    Right or wrong...?
