    Yet he does not acknowledge the power of the House, which should be equal to the executive branch. He has repeatedly ignored their legal requests.

    He is trying to make the executive branch more powerful that the House, which is not what the founding fathers had in mind.

    That is why this impeachment is so important. There MUST be checks and balances. I fear Trump will be left unchecked and set a dangerous precedent. The next President will be free to act in the same manner, which is fine with Trump supporters NOW. Wait until a DEM wins the Presidency. Their tune will change quickly. The next time all three branches of gov't are controlled by DEMs(and it will happen eventually) it will get ugly.

    Is this the direction we want as a country? We fought for our independence against a Monarchy.

    The Obama administration ignored House request for documents relating to the Fast and Furious scandal. It wasn't until a court order demanding the Obama administration to turn over the documents that the Obama administration finally complied.

    But the documents finally got turned over. I'm not an apologist for Obama. Fast and furious was done to catch bad guys but bad mistakes were made.

    What really gets me about the Trump administration is the fact that people are refusing subpoenas. This should not be an option.

    Yes that's pretty low, pick the most vulnerable Trump then drag him into the fake impeachment because we've got nothing else. I don't blame Melania for being furious, I'd feel exactly the same way.
