    • GM posts record profits
    • Weekly jobless claims drop to lowest level in four years
    • New housing starts surpassed expectations
    • The market reached the highest level in almost four years
    • Consumer prices inched up less than expected
    • Consumer confidence is rising

and new polls show Obama building a substantial lead against both Republican Presidential hopefuls!

    http://voices.yahoo.com/article/9373634/polls-show-obama-gains-as-republican-race-tightens-10973170.html

And, oh my Lord, did you see how badly Issa botched his birth control inquisition??!! That was hilarious.

Now we'll have the usual parade of Obama haters parade through telling us all how horrible everything REALLY is and how the world will come to and end if and when Obama is re-elected and it will be very amusing.

They are correct about one thing. None of this means that things are great. None of it means that we don't have a long way to go.

But here's the funny thing - that works out really well for the President. This positive news will just continue on and on, slow but sure, from now until November and beyond!!

There is still bad news going on for Obama. You should list that as well so you don't look like your just giving out the press conference talking points.

Its ok to say that not everything he's doing is perfect. Its not like he'll arrest you or anything.

Oh wait, actually he does have the power to do that. Better keep the praise going.

I'm happy for GM and GM employees, but Obama is still a failure on the national stage and will be defeated this November.

So. . . why don't YOU list today's "bad news" for Obama?

It shouldn't be hard. . .should be a pretty short list! ;)

You can tell when it's been a good day for America.

The right-wing trolling reaches a level of desperation that almost makes you feel sorry for them... at least until you realize that they are so heavily invested in failure that they have no choice but to actively work against the recovery picking up steam.

Anemic economic numbers after trillions of stimulus dollars and three long years of pain is a failure, yes.

Yup...the $5 trillion in added federal debt plus the $2+ trillion in Fed spending in the last 3+ years plus the average American savings rate in 3 of the last 4 reporting months is lower then any other time during Obama's term.

    http://research.stlouisfed.org/fred2/data/PSAVERT.txt

In other words...the economy is growing due to a cheap credit card...not sound fundamentals.

Are conservatives now trying to tie Obama to gas prices?I'm not accusing you of that but I have heard it increasingly as a talking point.

Not unless the republicans can come up with a viable candidate, which right now doesn't look too good. Romney is only marginally viable.

Yes, gas prices are going up. . .because of the instability between Iran and Israel, and because of the increased demand for oil around the WORLD!

Nothing to do with Obama. . .except that, thanks to Obama, the economy is getting better, and that, obviously tends to trigger more demand for gas in the US as well!

Foreclosures are going up? Well, if you listen to Romney, that's what he wanted to do all along. . . So. . .why is it a bad news for Obama, rather than a good news for Romney?

Obama AT LEAST has tried his best to get assistance for people who are under water. .if Republican governors like Scott Walker don't take that money for their own "needs" instead of passing it along to the distressed home owners.

    Anything else?

I seem to remember democrats blaming Bush's policies for the increase in gas prices.

It does not take a leader to dump trillions of dollars into the economy and take credit for solving problems. What has he actually done other than that?

Do we have a budget yet?

Does he have a plan for lowering the deficit?

How is he planning on dealing with the ss/medicare problem that's approaching very fast?

My 4 yr. old niece could have said "just spend more money."

Reagan tripled the debt and you folks have him up for sainthood.
Bush doubled the debt I think the popular quote during those days was "deficits don't matter".

The debt has increased about 34% under Obama....during a generational economic crisis in which REVENUES dropped dramatically.

And he didn't realize this before he said that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term?

    Please

The only thing that matters is power, and the use of propaganda to achieve power. That's what this thread is about.
