At least that's what I'm hearing, and a couple of quick searches bears it out. That means tweets from searched companies or persons will no longer appear in google's results. That's a much bigger deal than you think it is, especially for advertisers.
If true that’s a very big deal. That’s googles way of attacking twitter. If other companies follow this example, assuming it’s true, twitter absolutely will die, wasting billions of Ol Elons dollars. Next could be PlayStation or Xbox pairing with twitter, etc etc etc. A self fulfilling prophecy one could say. Wouldn’t happen naturally, so the very left wing corporate world may end up arbitrarily targeting twitter to make it happen.
Did google do it, or did twitter do it though? Elon doesn't want people to be able to see tweets without logging in. it seems like using google would be a way around it.
They're salty as hell that they can't use it as a free fake news hate platform to admonish one side of politics. We all knew it would be a bumpy ride. Twitter won them 2020
A logical upshot of Musk blocking people from viewing Twitter w/o being logged in: Google Search Showing 50% Fewer Twitter URLs After Twitter Blocked Unregistered Users On Friday afternoon, Twitter decided to block unregistered, signed-out users, from seeing public tweets. That meant that for Google's normal crawling purposes, it was unable to see some of these tweets. It seems that Google now has about 52% fewer Twitter URLs in its index today than it had on Friday, just a few days later. https://www.seroundtable.com/twitter-google-search-drop-35648.html
That’s what happen when you don’t pay your bill. Nothing to do with politics Twitter Stopped Paying Its Google Cloud Bills Under Musk: Platformer (businessinsider.com) i think under new CEO , Twiter started paying bill to Google, however Twitter developing a software which will replace Google analytic Twitter is using. which will cost Google millions of dollars revenue. If MUSK is a smart businessman, he should not go to war with the biggest search engine in the world.
That seems like a perfectly predictable consequence that any half-decent Twitter developer could have told him. Pity Musk fired them all.
I consider that to be a good thing. It's annoying when you're trying to find information and all that pops up is Twitter garbage.

Those claiming it's about politics are wrong, again.
This is likely due to Twitters new standard of not allowing but so many tweets to be read. I would assume bots would eat up their 600 within a few moments. Another self inflicted gunshot wound The weather service just stated they would no longer be issues alerts through the service either.
If the cause is as described in the article linked a couple of posts up (which makes a lot of sense), it would likely impact other search engines in the same way. It's different to that (though I suspect with similar, if flawed, reasoning). This is apparently because they've removed the ability to view any tweets without being logged in to the site. Obviously the bots can't log in so can't access any of the content any more.
