GOP vote count obstruction, let me count the ways.

This is NOT a comprehensive list.

Repubs sue in WI to prevent mail in ballots received after election day, but postmarked before election day, not to be counted.
SC blocks an order allowing AL voters, who are disabled and at risk for COVID, to vote outside their polling place.
SC rules mail in ballots in SC must have a witness signature.
PA Repubs ask SC to stop allowing mail in ballots with a pre-election day postmark to be counted if received up to 3 days after the election.
Trump asks SC to block extension of receipt of mail in ballots in NC.
Trump campaign sues to limit the use of drop boxes in PA.
Trump campaign sues in Nevada to stop vote counting in Les Vegas over signature checks.
TX governor restricts ballot drop off boxes to one per county.
TX Repubs sue to block ballots cast by voters in their car.
MI Repubs sue to block late arriving absentee ballots with a pre-election postmark from being counted.
Trump campaign in Iowa sue to limit absentee voting and to make processing absentee ballot applications more difficult to process.

On top of which there's Trump's campaign spewing lies and propaganda over the reliability of mail in voting. And there's Trump's (successful) efforts to slow down the delivery of mail to prevent ballots from reaching election offices in time for them to be counted.

Why make all these anti-democratic attempts to keep votes from being counted. Because it appears there is no way Trump will get a majority of the votes cast, just as in 2016. So, the path to victory is by deceit, by stealing the election, by preventing the will of the American people from prevailing.

 

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit signaled its willingness to revive Minnesota’s Election Day deadline for the receipt of mail-in ballots, undoing a seven-day extension that the state agreed to as part of a consent degree in a separate state court case.

The appeals court strongly implied that it would ultimately remove from the final presidential count any late-arriving ballots, as it ordered election officials to separate ballots out that arrived in the period previously covered by the consent decree.

Dems encourage everyone to vote. Repubs try all means available to prevent mail in votes from being counted because of the disparity between Dems and Repubs who plan to use mail in ballots.

 

If Trump is successful in stealing the election I fear the George Floyd protests are going to look like a block party.

 

This, they've got about a hundred cases in court trying to suppress voting.

At the same time, Russians have started hacking voting systems, trying to create the chaos Trump needs.

Can you imagine what the celebration will be like this time.

 

Just about any major transaction in America requires a verifiable I.D. and in most instances a picture I.D.. Why shouldn't it be harder to be verified over one of the most important transactions in America. People had plenty of time too request ballots and fill them out.

 

This thread isn't about prior GOP attempts at voter suppression by denying access to the polls. It's about not counting votes that have been cast.

 

If they have been cast and in the electors office according to law they will be counted.

 

Mail delays in Pennsylvania have gotten worse in recent weeks, PennLive.com reported, especially in Philadelphia.

42% of all first-class mail is taking more than than five days to be delivered in Philly, according to U.S. Postal Service data filed on Wednesday in federal court, PennLive.com reported.

PennLive.com noted that the figure has rapidly increased from 33% two weeks ago, which was up from a relative low of just 13% in January before a series of changes in recent months to postal service policy compounded a national slowdown of the mail service.

 

So you can't figure out how to vote?

 

The problem being the rules are being made by Repubs whose best interest are served by not counting votes that should be counted.

 

Why are Repubs making it as difficult as possible to do so? Because Trump will once again lose the popular vote.

 

How is it more difficult then waiting in line for a 23 cent concert?

 

So much for the Republican bovine excrement about upholding freedoms when they EXCLUDE the freedom to VOTE because the GOP ALWAYS losea when We the People turn out in large numbers to vote.

 

What is the point of making voting difficult? You know.....seeing as voter fraud has never been an issue in the US.

It was in the book about the ideas of the RACIST white supremacists who enforced APARTHEID in South Africa.

They NEVER wanted the DEMOCRATIC votes of the MAJORITY of the people of South Africa to be counted either.

For me it is like saying " I could care less if no socialist/communist votes are ever counted" I was just being kind. Anyone who wish's to censure what I read or my speech, want to take my guns, take away my health care, give my job to an illegal, raise my taxes, tell me how to live and what I can or cant eat and drink and infringe on my rights does not deserve to have their voted counted.

 

Are Democrats so lazy or stupid that they can't figure out how to get their ballot postmarked on time?
