If I ever found out who coined 'Across the pond' for the Atlantic, I'd marmalize them. A pond is an enclosed body of water - which the Atlantic isn't! (I've been waiting a long time to rant about that. )
If you've got the time to create a post, you've got the time to get it right. Non-English speakers get a pass.
I cringe to see "their" used for "there" but I can't seem to stop doing it! Posting from phone can create cringe-worthy grammer. Thank goodness for the editing function.
Being anal retentive about such things is a sure sign of an inferiority complex. Or sociopathy. Lighten up FFS. It's a ****ing discussion forum.
