    Great music is timeless. Quality work from the great masters like Beethoven, Bach and Mozart are still being played and sold today.

    If a performer's work is superior, it will shine through, and it will sell.

    I agree w/ you 100% on what remains above.

    Some great musical pieces simply didn't receive the exposure, etc. needed for them to sell in (large) quantities equal to their quality.

    Great music is timeless. Great music will last. That doesn't mean it's the music that sells most - the music that sells most at any given time is very often the throwaway catchy dross that will mostly only ever be 'remembered' in terms of someone's own memory of a point in time on retro 'do you remember' TV and radio shows, not remembered in terms of being constantly rediscovered as if new by new people and new generations.

    It's hard to go wrong with anything from Elton who I might add is still writing and preforming. He has stood the test of time and is still going!

    Ronnie James Dio was consistently perfect from a technical perspective, but this is IMO his greatest vocal performance ever. The amount of feeling he puts into this song, especially at the end (starting at about 6:45), is what makes it stand out as not just another immaculate Dio performance, but an emotionally powerful one as well. He poured his soul into this one.
