WOW! A guilty verdict on all three accounts and no one seems excited about it. I wonder if the rioters will be in the streets? Whose homes are they going after now? Will they burn down police stations? What other destructive efforts could the Democrat Party do now?

This thread will get deleted. And such a miscarriage of justice has definitely excited dems on this forum.

As expected and you might want to link an article or something.

I’m very excited justice was done. I hope the celebrations stay civil.

Many posters have been discussing it in numerous threads. Yours, unfortunately, just seems to want to bash people (Dems) and start an argument.

The Democrat Party? Say it properly. The Democratic Party had nothing to do with this. This has nothing to do with politics. It's the justice system doing its job. Chauvin was convicted by a jury of his peers, not by the Democratic Party. Such nonsense. You mad?

    Why would anyone be excited?

    We have a man dead

An officer we entrusted to protect convicted of doing the opposite

More officers that may be convicted

And a third of the nation screaming the nation should get what it deserves because we “turned our backs on the police”.

    That isn’t something to celebrate

I 100% agree with the verdict, the jury got it right

but Maxine may have jeopardized the case on appeal, so that worries me

as for the rest of that post, I say.... what?

I don't think Waters' statement alone is grounds for appeal. The defense would have to prove a juror or jurors were influenced by her statement. I don't see that happening.

I hope not, I really do, but it still worries me

they were sequestered, so it may not be anything to worry about, if none of the jury heard her words, then all is good

I'm just glad it's over. I hope the officer got a fair trial, and I will assume he did. I hope people will let it be over, that the so-called social justice warriors will be happy and leave everyone in peace now. My feeling is that BLM would have preferred to lose this fight, as a not guilty verdict would be an excuse for further rioting and lots of donations.

Even if none of the jury heard their words, if the defense could find evidence of jury members supporting the sentiment, they can absolutely make the case for the captain obvious of the century: The case was politically and socially charged from the beginning.

Sad to say, but like after MLK. Jr. Day and the OJ verdict, minority people are going to be targeted.

Some people are already saying that all white police officers should resign in protest of this verdict.

It will be appealed... maybe even up to the Supreme Court.

So "packing the court" will be the mantra for the foreseeable future.

If he were found innocent by this jury, would not justice still have been done?

    Yes.

The problem with Floyd being a corpse is he can't be prosecuted now for his crimes.

    ROTFLMAO

When can they get such cushy jobs that feed their egos so completely? LOL

They are going nowhere no matter how much I encourage them to do just this.

Okay, that's what I thought. I haven't been following Waters' neurotic blathering, so I wasn't sure of the timeline. Waters is emotional and intellectually unimpressive, but she can't be dumb enough to make such a statement before the jury was sequestered.

As long as the sequester wasn't broken, the verdict should be safe. The jury was out for less than 24 hours. They obviously all weren't biased by Waters' statement, even if they heard it, which they didn't. Such a motion for appeal assumes a not guilty verdict which was then tainted. Does anyone believe those 12 jurors were ready to acquit, and then changed their minds because of a perceived threat from Little Old Nutty Maxine Waters? A perceived threat they didn't hear, because of the sequestering. Lol. Nah. Chauvin in locked up right now. He won't be a free man for a long time. How long depends on Chauvin. What will he tell the judge at sentencing?

You seem very upset a white cop kneeled for about 9 minutes on the neck of a black man and he died and the cop was guilty of the crime.

More telling on you than those who feel justice was served but see no need to flamebait a group of people as the OP is trying to do.

This will turn Ga Floyd into a hero. That probably burns you. But a black man killed was given justice. A rarity in the country so far.

Because a cop executed him before he had his say in court.
