Nope, I did not say that or anything like it. I said that - if the supply of firearms were reduced for criminals - that the cost of black market firearms would become prohibitive for many criminals. I also said I do not support banning firearms to accomplish this, but I do support increasing the validations of those purchasing firearms as well as increasing the capability of legal owners to prevent their firearms from falling into the hands of criminals.
Yes, everyone should have a background check, and people need to be more responsible with their firearms. However, this is only one angle. The criminal needs to be focused on like a laser beam.
Agreed, beginning with "where do they get their firearms" and "how do we minimize their ability to obtain firearms".
