Folks,

stop panic, everything is fine, I guess that PF has lot of enemies who want do destroy it within.Today for example the Forum was very quickly.It is an idiocy and huge wasting of your recourses if you will post on fewer known forums as newbies.

 

I log in and see nothing that interests me. When I do make an effort and make a thread, it gets moved off into the nether regions to make sure that only Trayvon Martin threads are on the first page of Current Event and Opinions. It's BEYOND boring, everything that can be said has been said ad nauseum...but apparently the mods want to turn this place into the Trayvon Martin Forum instead of PF.

I am over it.

 

Ostap , the main thing hurting PF is that people are tired of the BS and seeing PF sour the way it has in recent months . it's very discouraging , you and I know how it was in the old days , , it's not the same now , is it ? too many politically correct posts , and not near enough balls ...

 

I miss having the flags under our names so we know where we are all from.

 

What was that moderator thinking? If you left, how would I know what Michelle Obama wore yesterday? Also, where would I get my constant updates about the size of Michelle's ass? This is invaluable stuff!!

 

The server being slow is not a problem to me because I don't post as much as you do and I'm a slow reader.
Mainly because I come here to practice my English and am not really interested in airing my iponions.

part of the reason the forum is faster is because posting is down. Used to be when I came on, there would over a thousand new posts. now there is rarely more than five hundred and I come on much less than I used to.

sorry, we know that for Progressives, if it isn't overly crude they can't get it but we call that 'humor'...I know, I know..there's no nudity or obscene words but really there ARE people that can get a laugh out of things that don't involve someone getting nailed in the genitals.

 

Of course I agree!! Jokes like "isn't that dress ugly" and "doesn't her ass look fat in that" are the height of sophisticated and urbane humor, which liberals simply are incapable of appreciating!!

The quality of the debate is way way down so many people chose to find better pastures. This has all happened before and it will happen again. Many of us came here from PCF because it was a much more loosely moderated forum where more focus was put on the quality of the debate over peoples personal sensitivities. In the last 4 years since the PCF exodus that has changed, with the election heating up moderation will not be able to keep this style of overly sensitive moderation for very long.

Is that accurate? I checked in an hour ago, logged out and there were 220 new posts when I returned.

 

I have been put off by the over moderation. This is the only forum I know where one gets an infraction for posting: "get help!"

 

It didn't use to be that way 4 years ago when PCF was collapsing under the weight of its own over the top moderation many posters came here because PF had the best reputation for being a loosely moderated forum.

Now we are at the point where I asked why moderators who don't post anymore still feel the need to moderate the forum and a moderator who I have had a lot of trouble with proceeded to give me an infraction for a post that was over a week old. In other words searched my CP for something to warn me for yet our moderation insists that such action isn't pure retaliation.

The context of what I had posted was calling someone who said that all women were heartless sluts who deserved be be treated like trash by jerks an "idiot". In such a context you wouldn't expect an infraction a warning at most but the real context was the moderator doesn't like me wants me banned and was looking through my CP for anything to warn me over as I had already called her out for harassment.
