    It is a holiday commemorating the time G-d freed Jews from Egypt.

    Orthodox Jews almost never visit secular forums with all the language therein. Conservadox Jews, like me, do visit forums and engage in general arguments. But neither on Holidays nor on Sabbath. This Passover there will be two three-day holidays.

    Being away from Internet and all toxicity is a great boost to spirituality.

    Judaism also forbids drug abuse and other forms of self-harm.

    It would be easier to celebrate if the story didn't involve infanticide and commanding the Jews to go on to enslave people of their own.

    A very smart Jew told me that from the time the women sweep and clean the leaven out of their homes it takes eight days to fully celebrate Passover.

    I am Jewish but I think ( as do many archeologist ) that there is zero evidence of any Jews in Egypt or exodus
    . It was fabricated to give them a glory history

    I took part in passover once. I didn't much care for the ceremony, but Kosher food is tasty :)

    They found a city, apparently Hebrew, that was abandoned over a short period. It's in Patterns of Evidence:the Exodus.

    Normally, he's too busy for trivial things such as answering prayers to end Covid-19 because game winning jumpshots and homeruns are of the highest importance. But with no sports going on, I wonder what the geezer is up to.........
