Harry Reid- GOP Suggestions Of Government Shutdown "Scary"--

No the Point is to not believe ANY of them, being selective and trusting of those that have been proven time and time again to be liars also is not going through life with BOTH eyes open.

 

The GOP went down in their approval polls to a RECORD LOW of 28%.....sure, they bounced back...but it took them months.

They also FAILED to achieve their goal of defunding Obamacare.

So all they got out of it was.....allowing Ted Cruz to promote himself on CSPAN-2 and looking like fools.

In this case, the analogy would be Harry Reid telling Republicans "It's a bad idea to trim your pubic hair with a chainsaw"....

and the Tea Party telling Republicans "Trim it! Trim it! Trim it! Don't listen to that old coot!"

 

Yeah, considering Harry Reid is a well known liar and fear monger I'm not to concerned with what he has to say. You bring someone to the table who doesn't have a history of putting down American citizens for thinking differently and making unsubstantiated claims then I'll listen. Until then anyone who is trying to use Reid as a source is either stupid or a liar. Possibly both.

In this case, however, Boehner and McConnell are not stupid. They won't shutdown the Government....they agree with Reid, if for their own sakes.

 

Are you able to refute that he is a known liar, divisive, and a fear monger or are you just going to pretend that just because he might sometimes tell the truth that we should listen to him?

 

Thats not even remotely close what happened in 2013. In 2013 the republicans refused to pass a funding measure so it was easy to pin it on them. But when they pass it they can claim they did their part to fund the gov but the president and democrats rejected it because they wanted to unilaterally pass immigrant legalization even at the expense of shutting down the government.

 

Tell the sleazy Reid to (*)(*)(*)(*) and get busy taking down those tacky-ass curtains down from the Senate Majority Leader's office.

 

Less than 2% Mean GDP growth for all 6 years. He's been cranking something......up ain't it.

Remember how all those election polls showed the GOP was going to lose seats all because that mean, evil, tea party lunatic Ted Cruz shut down the precious government last year and the world stopped turning? You don't? Yeah... me neither

If this brown pandering tyrant legalizes 50 some odd million invading criminals the country will, in short order, implode under the impact of massive economic collapse.

Please own up to the fact that the only reason you want these parasites legalized is because they're vote Democrat after getting their welfare checks.

Better figure out a way to "go down fighting"....because Boehner and McConnell won't shutdown the Government.

BTW, I thought Republicans and rightwingers believe that if there is an "amnesty"....the Democratic Party will be destroyed by all the white people rising up, even Democrats, and voting Republican in 2016???

 

Because the Republicans were the ones who instigated the shutdown they dropped significantly... well that and the fact that most people weren't willing to go to a shutdown over healthcare. But most people ARE willing to go to a shutdown over not legalizing millions of illegal immigrants that shouldn't be here in the first place.

And even more important than that... if the republicans pass a funding bill with language attached that says the president does not have authority to legalize the illegal immigrants using EO's... the republicans will have done their part and passed a funding bill. The President will then have to decide whether or not taking unilateral actions against the will of the VAST majority of the population is worth shutting down the government for.

And if the President decides it is, then the democrats who will be coming up for election in the Senate will have to decide whether or not legalizing those illegals is worth shutting down the government and, more importantly, their political futures. If they are... so be it. But the democrats will get RAPED in 2016 if they support that action and initiate a government shutdown simply so that they can legalize millions of illegal immigrants against the wishes of the American people.

And considering it won't make them citizens and they still won't be able to vote... that EO will get essentially rescinded when the new republican president comes in with his supermajority in 2017.

 

Really? Pop Quiz which party had full control of Congress and the White House in 2009 - 2010? Your party just got it's collective asses kicked AGAIN! Apparently the American people like what they are doing or they would have elected MORE Democrats.

 

We've been over this before. 72 days of filibuster proof majority. Not 2 years. An election with the lowest turnout in something like 50 years. I stand by my statements.

 

I don't think there will be a country left for anybody to claim rule of.

Presumably these 50 some odd million illegals are either employed at sub minimum wage, working under a fake id, or not working at all.

The businesses who built their model around cheap illegal labor mostly fold because they can't handle the pay hike, and the ones that can will fire most of their illegals to be able to downsize keeping only a few on.

The illegals working under a fake id will think everything's ok and that they can just go to their employer and reveal themselves. But they end up being fired because while being an illegal invader might no longer be considered a crime, identy theft most certainly is and who wants to hire a felon?

The main group of illegals are the ones who were never working, the ones who were already living off one or many forms of welfare. Liberal ignorance would have your believe an illegal on welfare is a rarity but today's reality is that the "work for a better life" sentiment is long dead and was replaced by the liberal belief that "you're entitle to it".

The end result of the legalization of this many invaders is a massive MASSIVE growth in government dependency which the economy simply can't handle.
