Merkel is spot on about the BMW plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is the largest BMW plant in the world and creates 10,000 jobs for American workers. For all of Trump’s blathering about the need to impose tariffs on German cars, this BMW plant built 237,000 cars for an export value of $8.76Bil in 2017.


But then Trump doesn’t understand tariffs anymore than he understands NATO and our European allies have had quite enough of this nonsense if the Munich conference is any indication.

The only wall Trump is building is an edifice of avarice and stupidity, between us and the rest of the world. The Munich conference contributed a couple of good-sized bricks!.

Trump could line up brown babies in Times Square, shoot them all in the head one after another, and they would still support him. Heck. Some would even cheer him on.

There is NOTHING Trump can do to loose his base as long as he keeps going into hard right wing tyrant mode. They will go down with the ship in all cases. They will makes excuses for his behavior no matter what.

 

And likewise he could cure cancer, bring about world peace, and end all poverty and the left would still hate him.

Tell us one vehicle that was set on fire for having an Obama bumper sticker.

Show us one group of conservatives who rioted, attacked people, and set fire to limousines either time Obama was elected.

He couldn't even get his own party behind him for his outrageously stupid wall, he has now declared a national emergency that so many Americans disagree with that he is losing Republican seats in red stares such as Louisianna, for crying out loud. I think it is very important to remember that being born into wealth and propped up by celebrity does not mean you are a smart person—something many Trump supporters do not realize as they equate his superficial successes with some kind of inherent intelligence.

It is more than probable to assume BMW built plants in the US because it is cheaper than building them in Germany. Tarriff away Mr.President. If my 535I cost more next year it is my choice to purchase one, that is unless of course, the US government requires me to buy one that is only battery powered.
