Only when it suits him and his is not the deciding vote. He’s no different then Susan Collins. If he was interested in establishing a real set of illogical of values, he’d declare himself independent. Libertarians are agaisnt govt spending except for national defense. When pressed, like his father before him, he can’t logically defend the elimination to Medicare, the EPA or even the department of education.

Did you even look at his fathers record of passed legislation ? He might as well have been an empty chair. Libertarian values are pie in the sky 1800 s ideas that even they don’t believe in. They’re just republicans in sheep’s clothing. They win occasionally because they get a few of their dillusional base who also look forward to socialism Medicare. They’re really funny when they talk their ideas vs what they support and who they caucus with.

So he doesn't hold libertarian principles. Got it. And you're calling him a libertarian?

The People have a right to a secure State. The State legislature should do their job.

    No.
We need to judge people by what they do, not what they say. He’s been silent and even supportive of the GOP and Trump legacy of personal rights, voting rights and treatment of legal immigrants seeking asylum. The libertarian party has a terrible record on the environment while pretty much voting in lock step with the GOP and expecting corporations to benevolently keep control of the pollution they emit....they never do...so that’s one way Rand is a true libertarian,

The constitution uses “ state” to refer to federal government as well.

You can’t read ? Most libertarians regardless of what they call themselves, are republicans that like sushi. ( euphemism for, repugs that don’t want to be called repugs) repugs are so into labels, some want to hide under the libertarian label .

I don’t know any libertarian who actually believes in their own “principles,” whatever they say they are, most of all Rand Paul. If they truly believed in personal freedom protected from the state, they’d be card carrying members of the ACLU. I haven’t met one.

Actually, more liberals practice and believe in more so called libertarian principles then republicans do. That’s why libertarians are hypocritically, republicans.

    Can I? Cool.

But if a person doesn't actually hold libertarian principles (i.e. republicans), then they're not libertarians.

You like to pick out phrases without reading entire statements.....that’s the curse of people with no reading comprehension.

I read your entire statement. You don't know anyone who actually believes libertarian principles. Thus, you don't know any libertarians.

It's not actually my opinion. It's a definition. A libertarian is a person who holds libertarian principles. If one doesn't hold libertarian principles, then one can't be a libertarian.

I know people who call themselves libertarians. None wants out of Medicare, they all like sushi and all voted for Trump.
Who can live in the 20 th century and practice libertarian principles. It’s the label of hypocrites.
