Should be interesting seeing as its the one aspect of Obama's presidency that conservatives seem to all love to hate. Yet Romney is their candidate who has often been criticized for creating a healthcare reform in Mass. that coincidentally resembles Obama's healthcare reform. How are conservatives going to get behind Romney on this issue? And how is this issue not going to turn the election into a trainwreck?

Yes, it would be disastrous if everyone in America was provided with healthcare regardless of their ability to pay. Just like the are in the civilised countries of the world.

Universal healthcare doesn't always work. Typically socialism and socialist programs are sustainable in economies that are strong and have well developed industries and services. Countries like Greece however, which are underdeveloped, practice socialism beyond their means to sustain it. And as we are seeing today, they are failing miserably at it and could quite possibly take the rest of the world down with them.

But back to the topic, I think this whole election even without the rest of the clowns is still going to be a circus. The number 1 issues is without a doubt the economy. And Obama's healthcare reform is so deeply connected with the fate of our economy and is a symbol of the vast and wasteful spending the government often does. Yet, we have two opposing candidates that essentially represent what everyone hates about our government. Do you see the irony in this? My conclusion is that come this November, everyone loses regardless of who gets elected.

Well the answer is that the courts have found that a State mandated insurance is constitutional. Republicans will deal with this by saying that the 10th amendment provides for States to look at the need of their populace and act appropriately. If you don't like paying it you can go to another State.

The Federal government does not have the power, according to the Constitution, to mandate you purchase health insurance. The Supreme Court will soon validate this.

Do republicans like Romney's view on State-based mandated health insurance? NO But you have to look at the candidate as a whole and throwing him out for one issue is not a wise move for any party.

There are more pressing problems than what he did in Massachusetts.

Who is it your suggesting IS DENIED Healthcare? Throw in visitors, gang members or folks with no legal authority to be in the US and still none are denied Healthcare. The system works and I wouldn't know where to begin, in explaining just how well it's worked and for every society on this planet, for instance medical equipment and medications...

You think the private medical insurance industry is huge now? you think you pay a lot for nothing in health care insurance? Wait till the Mit gets ahold of the laws with his republican lobbiest, they will grow the size of health care via what is called the Obama care which was part of Mit's plan to assure the taxpayer and everyone in the USA pays into Mit's healthcare insurance industry.

Let's not forget Mit Romey is to the insurance industry, as Dick Cheney is to the Defense industry.

Reality of what happened with healthcare reform came from the Mitt, and he is trying to capitalize on making mega bucks off the taxpayer. After all, he is only good at making money for himself at the expense of others. What do you think he is going to do when/if he becomes president? You think he is going to help you. Hell no, he is living his interpretation of the American dream; and that is to make more and more money off others,. that is capitalizm at its finest. Screw the rest and look out for his family as they will be the only ones benifiting from the Mit being president.

He has promised not to due anything like Obamacare on a national level. If he tries he will find himself in Obama's shoes.

He will be thrown out after his first term.

failure of healthcare has nothing to do with socialism, it has everything to do with poor management which you can find in any economic/political system...the downfall of Greece was tax avoidance, if they want extensive social services then they should expect to pay for them...they didn't live within their means that's not a socialism issue it's a financial management issue...
