Hey there, i've posted a few posts already nothing much, and now i decided to introduce myself.

Have been reading mostly, and so far, i've been trying to avoid posting because i must say that by reading most posts here gets me really frustrated, and by posting i would just give start to a flame war.

With that being said, i'm also here to improve my english skills.

I consider myself a capitalist. Im not from the right or left. I think the state should provide its citizens with the basics of education, healthcare and security (justice, law enforcement, military) and stay out of the other areas.

I believe in the ability of the individual, every individual, to pursue their hapiness through the means they see fit, aslong as they don't cross other people's freedoms to do so, and i think the capitalist system is the only one that allows for such to happen. America is not the land of Dreams by chance, though sometimes those dreams can turn into nightmares.

I'm not a religious person. IMO religion is an ancient tool to control and manipulate the individual. Spiritual slavery of sorts.

I'm from Portgual, we're going through a rough time here right now, mostly because after the dictatorship ended 35 or somethin years ago, instead of having a political arising, where the citizens start to question every political actions, we remained pretty much the same, unpolitized, despite the apperance of numeral new political parties, the common portuguese just doesn't care about politics, we were thought not to care about it, we were told the politicians would care of all the issues, like Salazar said, "Politics are boring and tiresome, if anyone knew what one has to go through, they wouldn't want to be a politician".
Still after 35 years, without questioning the several governments we had, we ended up with this situation. In debt and allowing the EU to destroy our fishing industries and agricultural practices. Ofcourse alot of good came from the EU aswell...

    Thats all, and Hi....
