It is amazing what youtube can show us. It shows events opening up. It shows the first protestors and their desire to save a statue. And then hate starts by taunts and curses against those wanting an ordinary statue to remain.

I went to Charlottesville around the time Bush was president and I am shocked how this city has changed. I don't recall any of the Robert E. Lee statues being controversial but now that we had Obama in office, now they are controversial. Why right after the era of Obama?

What is with this chanting black lives matter. I suppose the message is white lives do not matter. Clearly the group protesting the statue removal believe white lives do matter.

I tend to think people not actively engaged in criminal acts are technically innocent. Unless of course the left feels that certain groups, the groups not protected by the 1st amendment, also forfeit protections under the 6th amendment. Are liberals going straight down the line nullifying constitutional protections?
