There is people that want to remove the Electoral College from America. I say keep it. We have the EC to decide who will be president and it works great. 50 state wide votes to see who will claim the majority of the states and most of America to become president. This is how Abraham Lincoln won and he turned out to be one of the best presidents this country has ever had. If we did not have the EC then Abe would have lost and black people could still be slaves in this country. The Democrats want you to believe the EC is bad and that the majority vote should count but why now? Maybe it's because they can't stand the fact they lost to a better candidate. Don't forget Abraham stopped slavery in America and it was Republican states that supported and voted for him. Democrats supported slavery and it was because of the EC that change was allowed to happen breaking slavery. So how is the EC a bad thing? Should California with it's high population decide the fate of the rest of the country? I don't think so. What my state of Iowa may see as a problem California or New York may see as nothing. So where is our say in the election if these states get to decide our presidents every time? If these states voted Republican I am sure the Democrats would be all for the EC so they would still have a say. You see without the EC we would have no say and the corrupt Democratic Party would win every single time. They only care about themselves, gays and illegal immigrants. Nobody else would matter and a good example is when Hillary Clinton chose to ignore the blue collar workers in America and call Republicans Deplorable. Candidates should have broad national support and not just rack up huge margins in a relatively small number of high-population centers. So to sum it up the EC is great for this country because everybody get's a say on who is elected and not just a few big cities or a few select races such as Latinos or African American's. The Democratic party and the left does not actually try to win over all of America. Don't let them brainwash you into thinking there care. These violent protests which has already killed at least one person and the constant whining is proof they only care about themselves. I'm sure some on the left do care but for most of them it's all about staying in power so they can do whatever they want with this country and not what's best for us. They care more about illegal immigrants then they do about their own country. No wonder they are against a wall on our southern border. They want to keep illegals happy. If this now radically violent party takes back power anybody who is against them, Republican or Christian will be targeted, laughed at or even attacked and nobody will stop them or say anything against them. It's pretty much already there. The violent protests and attacks continue and the left completely ignores them or encourages them and many on the right are to scared to stand up to protesters or say hey I voted for Trump. The corrupt left media makes things worse by trying to give America the wrong image of the right. We need the Electoral college so that we can have a fair election for all American's. Removing it would be the biggest mistake this country will ever do and it will be a nightmare for anybody who does not support or agree with the left and their crazy idea of America. They don't care about African Americans or Latinos. They care about the votes and lie to get them. They will do anything to stay in power and removing the EC means they will be in power and control for the rest of our lives and our kids lives etc. They will make sure the EC never comes back and we must make sure the EC is never removed or it is over for us. We should all have a say in the elections and not just big cities or the left. Support the Electoral College for when it is removed we will all be slaves to the radical extreme left.
