    China is barbaric.

Their attempts to look like a 21st century nation are ridiculous.

I'm certain they didn't want Covid 19, any more than any other country does.

Yeah, as much as I'd want to bash China for all the things I have been bashing them for, I'm not gonna pull a them and falsely assert a new virus when in fact the article was in January. I want my bashing to remain on the moral high ground.

Suckers still need to make sure their food regulations is up to par. That's my #1 issue.

THE BASTIONS OF ECONOMIC UNFAIRNESS: CHINA AND THE US!

    Whoa, horsey!

    It's a country with 1.4 billion people - nearly 5 times that of the US? But the US distribution of Income on average is 3.5 times that of China;
-China per capita income: $16.7K per person
-US per capita income: $60.2K per person (3.5 times more than China)

But, that's not all. What is "all" in a nation is a quotient called Income Disparity. And there, both countries are in the same ballpark (China at 42 in the world ranking - seen here - and the US 41! Meaning both have about the same Income Disparity!)

    From Vox (here):

MY POINT? The US since time-immemorial has had much-to-large an Income-Disparity Differential. And yet, we snooks accept it as if were the 11th Commandment! The American people are being economically shafted .... !

    (PS: Aren't economic-comparisons fun? ;^)

    Income disparity is a non-issue. It’s meaningless.

i care about equality of opportunity, not equality of results. Those are two very different things. Give everyone opportunity. What they do with that opportunity is their business. Income redistribution is evil.

Let’s not waste time discussing this again.

    IT'S CALLED "MARKET BILKING"

Yes, of course, for the American Far Right who have no sense whatsoever of Social Fairness.

But, one day, I am sure, they will emerge from the Dark Ages. Or simply die-off, which is the usual manner.

Opportunity is not something you can order at Amazon. It is inherent to economic/political rules of play. (Often called laws or lack of laws.) And what is bothersome is that those rules were written more than a century ago in a series of "Antitrust Acts" - and nobody in LaLaLand on the Potomac is exercising them.

They have been forgotten - thus leading the US to the amalgamation of markets in the hands of a very limited set of "competitors" - and in doing so Excellent Market Profits!

Some people who were never taught US history do not understand that in the 19th century, Uncle Sam passed some antitrust laws - which require pursuit by the Attorney General's office in the matter of illegal market behaviour. Of course, the AG is required to prove that lack of market competition. But it is soooo much easier to simply to "forget the rule"!

American businesses have learned not to compete. Why should they, when market-manipulation is permitted by the AG's-office? They just share the profits based upon illegal (but never mutually agreed upon) percentage-divisions mostly obtained by "buy-outs" that aggregate markets. Or, the simple understanding amongst participants that wherever a market-advantage already exists, then competitive entry should not occur.

And in that mindless manner of "avoiding competition" they BILK the American consumer to earn their illegal profits.

Now, do tell me how "I got it all wrong, all wrong, all wrong" ...

So no matter how talented someone is, or how hard they work, they should end up the same as someone who sits on their ass all day and watches TV.

    Ok.

Anyone who is stuck at the minimum wage for a lifetime deserves to be there.

WHATEVER AMERICA DOES MUST BE RIGHT

The post is a demonstration of how we taught them how to write but not how to think.

This social-movement (and it is a "movement" because it appears here with the same negativism with each post) is no different from the Hitlerite quashing of Jews and other "non-German" elements that they wanted to destroy. And they did, because we allowed them to do it, with their gas-chambers and ovens.

It can't happen again in Europe, because Europe has seen the ugliness of these individual face-up once-before. But, that is NOT the case in America where a contingent continue to argue that whatever America does must be right - or "Right" .

They are quite content to refuse those below the Poverty Threshold the right to a decent hourly-wage (to take out their garbage). But they will not support the budgets necessary to give American children a decent education (up to and beyond a post-graduate degree).

After all, who would then handle their garbage, wash their cars, deliver their pizzas, etc. etc., etc. - ad nauseam.

These are the people that voted for and funded Trump in the first place, and they will promote his re-election as well ...

Trump voters are working people disembowelled by globalism and believed trump would bring their manufacturing jobs back so their labor was worth a middle class wage.

I know many of these people whereas you dont .

Yes, that link is about different strains of the COVID-19 virus. Your OP link was still reporting on the initial outbreak and had nothing to do with new strains or outbreaks.

I'm not disregarding any facts, I'm disregarding your misinformation. Frankly, you and I don't need to do anything about different strains in the current outbreak anyway, those details are only of relevance to the experts dealing with the pandemic and studying the virus.

Oh, I know PLENTY of them.

The difference being I had seen what is happening long before. As an economist I saw the evolution of the Industrial Age into the Information Age - a change accelerated by the advent of the Internet. Which is when the jobs started fleeing from the US to China in the 1990s, so no one should really be surprised.

    For your edification about Clinton:
Hillary Clinton Makes Dire Predictions for Economy if Donald Trump Wins - excerpt:
    (June 21, 2016)

What you should be surprised about is that a machination of the Electoral College allowed Donald Dork to get elected and he new ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT ECONOMIC EVOLUTIONS.

So, now we are stuck with him! And the consequences are ALL OURS TO BEAR! The economy is tanking and it won't come back for quite a while. We shall see first-hand what that Dark-Cloud does to his reelection ...
