These are the lives we are trying to save with gun control Fifteen-year-old Peter Wang, who was killed while trying to help classmates escape from a gunman at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was posthumously accepted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on Tuesday "for his heroic actions on Feb. 14, 2018" and then buried in his Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) uniform. When the shooting started at the high school in Parkland, the Brooklyn, N.Y.-born cadet yanked open a door that allowed dozens of classmates, teachers and staffers to escape, officials said. But as he stood at his post in his JROTC uniform and held the door open, Wang was shot and killed — one of the 17 students and staffers who died in the school that day. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/pa...us-west-point-admission/ar-BBJo2qO?ocid=ientp He stood his post in a military manner. But we let him down.
There is an online petition to have him buried with full military honors. I signed it. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/allow-cadet-peter-wang-receive-full-honors-military-burial
They were betrayed, plain and simple. Sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. Proper security measures should have been in place long before.
If he was planning to serve, its overwhelmingly likely that he was pro-2A. You vultures using his sacrifice as propaganda to push your agenda is entirely void of class or integrity. You really have no sense of decency do you? 'By any means necessary' right?
It does, however, mean being against ineffective, unenforceable, utterly stupid proposals that are devoid of even a basic measuring of legitimacy and common sense.
