I have been here for a few months but have never really introduced myself. I am zgillis, a Wisconsin Democrat (RECALL WALKER!). I have recently gotten a lot more into politics and even started my own IRC Channel at: irc://irc.esper.net:5555/nexo for political discussion. Anyways I've been in the fight against lowering taxes on the wealthy and on corporations, and have been trying to turn conservatives into liberals (to no avail) by telling them about the help rich people get from electing Republicans. I believe healthcare should be a human right that everyone is entitled to. I believe the same for a college education (which experts say would only cost every citizen $9,000 in their lifetime in taxes). I am aware that this forum is more of a 30% liberal, 70% conservative forum, but I'm up for the challenge. I welcome anyone who wants to discuss politics in realtime to my IRC channel above. Thanks, Zgillis
Actually, your registration date is Dec 2011 so you haven't really been here a few months. Guess that little fudge-factor comes in handy when it comes to espousing liberal views, huh? ROFLMAO Welcome to the madness, Zgillis. Hope you have fun.
The republicans better lose again. Their voter ID laws are disenfranchising blacks and the poor, who know what republicans will take away from them, and what Democrats will to FOR them.
Yeah, Dems will be a tough act to follow alright. With black unemp at +16%, and 1 out of every 4 people living in poverty, showing an ID to vote is the least of their problems.
go after the new guy so soon smartie, seems a little unwelcoming. So far no one in the current republican field looks electable. Maybe that will change, maybe not.
are you feeling welcome yet ...just saying hello draws an attack, surprised no called you a tree hugging commie as yet... welcome, have fun...the ignore feature can be your friend
Not 'going after' -- just responding. Guess that turning conservatives into liberals thing isn't working out, eh?
im not a fan of Obama either.. im not shocked anyone who is actually decent enough to hold the position, is also probably smart enough not to run in the first place..
All of the GOP's leading contenders are more qualified than Barack Obama. Winning in November won't be a problem. Narrowing down the field is the ugly part but people shouldn't take Rep on Rep mud-slinging too seriously. Once a nominee is selected, it'll be a full-force effort against Obama. I'm sure zgillis isn't taking all this too seriously either. Anybody who's willing to go toe-to-toe in realtime can't be too timid, eh?
