There you go. Here, the taxes are just sneakier and more spread out.

Sweden is a ridiculously over politically correct society, with a huge progressive party that eats up all the "anti-racism" propaganda churned out in New York and disseminates it to the masses in Sweden through the media. They really go over the top with it all. Not to mention the feminists that wield a great deal of influence. Everyone is "equal", but some are more equal than others. Then there is the overreaching government. Nearly half of working swedes are employed by the government, either directly or indirectly. Employment reprisals are used as a tool to get outliers to go along with the social consensus, anyone who questions all the immigrants being brought in is under suspicion of racism. Government also has much control over the media, can prevent things from going on TV, can prevent public permits, they have several ways to do it. Double standards are applied, of course. It's okay to hate men, to hate people who do not want more diversity, but not okay to hate protected groups (women, immigrants who commit terrible crimes, immigrants living off government).

Still, Sweden is not as bad as some other governments in many ways. The UK and the Netherlands, should not forget Germany.

It`s called "incarceration and castration". This is the wonderful, lefty, politically correct, magical formula to acheive "EQUALITY".
Have you heard of affirmative action? Of course you have. It`s not new, it`s been around for thousands of years, at least. They had it in Germany in the late 1930`s & early 40`s, too. What affirmative action is all about is, these two wonderful words, "affirmative action", make it perfectly OK to discriminate against, abuse, hold prejudice against "those other people that we don`t like". It`s not a double standard, NO NO NO NO, I don`t want you getting that idea! It`s a sort of a politically correct dispensation of that pesky "equality" idea, just for when it`s inconvenient, and those horrible people that we don`t like, expect to be treated equally, you see.

I'm really wondering who are the swedish people.
Like the Danish they don't have slavery or colonization to bash them off. They don't have nazi or facist past .Historical white guilt couldn't work there.

I got a theory about political correctness endoctrination since child age but the problem is that the PC mind break when living with close by immigrants or when a member of the family is touched by a crime.

Tell me, does people "fake" agreements under a soft dictatorship but most of people know what is happening and are just hidding from the PC inquisition ?
Or does people are really brainwashed and would offer their daughter for sacrifice in the name of diversity and equality ?

Instead of moaning about it to strangers on the internet, why not get off your backside and leave then?

Incidentally, why do you care what the price of a Playstation is in pounds?

Sounds like you might hate Sweden a bit too much. Girls don't vary that much from country to country, especially in Scandinavia.

You and me both on the tax though. I'm sick of seeing thousands disappear. I'm just a bloody part time student, I don't have a large income.

You know what I'd vastly prefer over zero interest student loans? Not being taxed a sizable portion of my meager income.

Chinese men have "swamped... Swedish tourism bodies" (ahem) with such burning questions in recent days, according to the Australian, and millions of them are "crippling the country's internet providers" frantically searching for more details.

My next thesis will be on exploiting the sexual frustration of Chinese men to conduct DoS attacks on Iranian infrastructure.

To the OP, you should move to New Hampshire and join up with the libertarian community that is already growing there: http://freestateproject.org/

New Hampshire...has the lowest state and local tax burden in the continental U.S., the second-lowest level of dependence on federal spending in the U.S., a citizen legislature where state house representatives have not raised their $100 per year salary since 1889, the lowest crime levels in the U.S., a dynamic economy with plenty of jobs and investment, and a culture of individual responsibility indicated by, for example, an absence of seatbelt and helmet requirements for adults.

I always thought Sweden was so "cool" - it certainly is a beautiful place. America is a great place too, some complain about the taxes, but if we want to have a great country everyone has to contribute. It's only not fair when some contribute less than they should! You sound very young. Welcome to the board.
