We see women wear high heels. To make their legs seem longer. This practice has risks, both short and long term. It is not very unlike BINDING, in JApan. IT can result in sprains, breaks and eventually debilitation and inability to walk. WE expect women that are heavy, and elderly to wear them. In one particular case, we chide a woman about cankles, and then, when her high heels cause her instability on stairs, and she accepts help, she is unqualified for the Presidency. So you see, these devices we foist on women, are really to hobble them in our minds. To make them delicate creatures. Look at long nails. And so, who is putting these lame expectations on women? Anything and everything has risks. High heels are as risky as tank tops. It is light years different from binding which is actually a limited practice in some parts of china NOT japan. Foot binding always cripples the poor woman who it is practiced on. High heels seldom cause injury. We do not expect anyone to wear them. Women do not blindly and obediently do what others expect of them. Some women choose to wear high heels some of the time others do not. I think most people both male and female would prefer not to see the obese and elderly wear high heels but it is still the wearers choice. Once again you do an incredibly lame job of creating an OP which is out of touch with reality. No one foists anything on women they make their own choices.
