Yeah - not surprising either way but I have a sneaking suspicion that all the Historians were US citizens - lacking inclusion of "Non US" perspective.

Not saying that Trump would have scored much higher if this was not the case - or that the opinion of the US historians is not valid - but - it is a position that can carry political bias - specially if you are talking a US citizen - commenting on US politics. You know ?!

My apologies if I am completely wrong about the Historians being US as didn't check out the link.

What I question about the survey results is not the low rating of Trump - but the high rating of Obama. - which suggests to me that many of these Historians don't have a clue what they are talking about -- "Don't know the History"

I did finally to the link as I wondered where "Reagan" was listed - which supported the notion that many of these historians were clueless ..

How does the guy whose historical nickname was "Rottin Ronnie" an Actor who made decisions on the basis of his wifes Astrological readings.

Of course. Everybody who doesn't like Trump is radical left wing. I guess "radical left wing" is the new Trumpism for "normal."

Good point about the political aspect, but I would expect a competent historian to be able to separate his politics from his work. Doesn't mean that's what we get, but that's what we should expect.

On the rest; yeah, it's not much better than a beauty contest, to be honest.

Not so simple - and even if they have that ability - this doesn't mean they are aware of history of these Presidents - especially if we are talking recent history - as in Obama - history which has been "Written" so to speak - but not yet is it "Official History" as will be the case when Obama gets his second War Crimes rap - and as far as I am concerned it should be his third - but the third one is pushing it admitidly .. that one being Libya .. Turning that nation into the Jihadist wonderland that it became after taking out Ghaddafi .. but as said .. this is dicey.

What is not "dicey" nor "Grey" is the complicity in war crimes in Yemen - hand in hand with Big Brother El Saud.

The worst though - the history that has been "Written" but not yet known - or rather "a different version" is currently accepted - is of course Syria - which is not "complicity" as in the case of Yemen -but full on aiding and abetting - subsidizing and financing the largest and most massive war crimes and crime against humanity of the last decade .

So it depends on which narrative one follows - and if we are talking US Citizens - Historians - the bias will be massive.
This bias still exists with Reagan - although the "History" is no longer debated in serious circles - yet some still following these nonsense Reagan Tropes.

It is interesting that Reagan and Obama are next to each other ... both rather High - hard to say which was Worse - Rotten Ronnie also party to War Crimes - Crimes against Humanity - directly supporting .. and even Training these soldiers of Central American Death Squad Dictators in more effective terror tactics at the "School of the America's" .. Not a bright day in our history - just the tip of the iceburg with Ronaldo - then after signing the famous arms treaties - Does a complete 180 on "MAD" and starts developing missile defence - an effort that "Historically" - led to the destablization of nuclear detente and the has new arms race.

Not sure which is worse - Dragging children over barbed wire "till the flesh hung from their bones" in front of their parents - or the nuclear war threat-"Risk" - probably the latter .. but who am I to guage these things :)

Try actually doing a search before starting new threads. We don't need 2 threads about the same topic.
