    Here's a little fact people may not realize.

    Between 1996 to 2011 there were more illegal immigrants entering the U.S. every year than the ENTIRE number of slaves that were ever imported into the United States.

    In fact just in 2012 the number of deportations that year actually exceeded the number of slaves that had ever been brought into the U.S.

    But how could this be? It may sound unbelievable to some.
    Population numbers today are much larger than they were in 1810.

    Only about 388,000 slaves were actually imported into the U.S.
    By 1860 the number of slaves in the U.S. had reached 3.9 million due to natural increase.

    That's about the same number of undocumented immigrants just within the states of California and Texas.
