I put this in the conspiracy section because I certainly can't prove it outright. But as an opinion, I believe all these so-called terrorist busts and terrorist rings are a bunch of fraudulent, criminal acts by the government to perpetuate an age where people are led around by fear and paranoia.

And I find it quiet awkward that the very same people so vocal about the abuse and horrors faced by Jews in the past do not see the very same thing happening with Muslim's in America...or around the world. How baseless suspicion is being cast on them. How they are being yanked from their homes and taken to prison without charge, without notice, and without reason other than suspicion.

Almost every so-called terrorist plot thwarted in the US, and every so-called terrorist caught was done on the thinnest evidence. Practically none. The latest, a boy in New York who tries to blow up the Federal Reserve, rings of not only of entrapment, but aid and guidance by the FBI.

The concept of an international ring of terrorists is laughable. Ridiculous. The amount of money and logistics that would have to go into such a thing do not justify the absolute non-existent operational advantages of such a thing. This whole thing is feeding of your fear and creating prejudice if it did not already exist, into radicalizing the American populace into witch-hunters. Except the witches are Muslim's. And they aren't people, they are evil. And with this sort of operation, I am sure that in all forms of media and social sites on the internet, you will find unreasonably adamant and over-the-top psychopaths on a 24/7 rant and roll against anything Muslim. Their tone is racially and ideologically flammable, combative, and their aim is to build anti-Muslim sentiment based on emotional volatility and paranoid dillusion.

    This is propaganda 2012.

To completely disregard any thought of there being domestic terrorism is irrational and illogical.

The possibility exists, surely, but not to any appreciable level. Certainly not to the levels the media is making you think its on. And besides...when you think, the purpose of terrorism is supposed to be to get the United States out of the Middle East. Any fool who watches television can clearly see that the US is all-too-willing to invade Iran and anywhere else that gives them the slightest reason for it. Far from removing the United States from your country, it's an express ticket to an American ass-kicking, occupation, and a puppet government indefinitely.

Terrorism...does not make sense when applied to the US, except within the countries or the region in question. Like guerrilla warfare, it is made to wear the enemies resolve down. The best bet for terrorists would be to convince the people that the war is just too long, to costly, and too expensive, but start bombing them and we wont shed a tear about seeing a mushroom or two grow in the desert.

Brought to you by whom? Muslim lovers r us? There is a very good reason Muslims are viewed with suspicion; their religion is interpreted by some to dictate violence and terrorism.

You whine pitifully about the Muslim scumbag who tried to blow up the Federal Reserve. You try to pretend it is all made up to try and demonize Muslims. Bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

You ever look into the 1993 bombing of the WTC? The FBI could have stopped them to by using the same tactics they used on the idiot who tried to blow up the Federal Reserve. They didn't then, but thank God they learned their lesson while the Muslim terrorists haven't.

It is nice you try to excuse terrorism by burying your head in the sand, but I doubt very many people are going to buy your bull(*)(*)(*)(*) propaganda.

I don't think you quite get the concept of what "terrorism" is. Terrorism isn't something unique to Muslims. I have a book on the history of Terrorism around the world that could be an anchor for a boat...it's rather large.

DHS and FBI would disagree that homegrown terrorism is fake, but they would agree that it is criminal. There are terrorists that are American who were born in the US, and have spent their entire lives in the United States. Look at the history of terrorism, like in France or Russia. You had people banding together to oppose the government because of one reason or another, such as the governments' dictatorial governing. There have been arrests in the last year of Americans who planned to oppose our government because they were dissatisfied with current governing. So it is an issue for the government. There are likely millions of Americans that could be driven to "terrorist" attacks, given the high dissatisfaction in the US of the government. You wouldn't see our agencies preparing their documents, definitions, and directives for nothing. The problem with all of the work with terrorism, historically, has been that efforts emerge to block and stop speech and the production of texts, or in the modern world, videos and podcasts. In essence, the government cracks down so much, that they target what they themselves define as terrorists, dissidents, activists, etc. In effect, no one is safe from the government that is suspect of its people. Furthermore, freedom across many dimensions are repressed. It is a dark journey down a road oft explored which leads always to the same places.

If you want to limit it to only truthers, you can, naively as it is, because you must know by now that the term 'terrorist' is used to describe a wide variety of people, organizations, and ideologies. Constitutionalists, libertarians, conservatives. They have been identified as terrorists by the government. Returning veterans are being eyed as terrorists; a form of right-wing extremism. Also brandishing the conservatives are the neo-Nazis, which the returning troops are supposedly turning into. Not to mention that if you hold strong political beliefs, or have political bumper stickers and support Ron Paul or Mitt Romney, that you can be classified a terrorist and/or harassed by police.

So what does your conservative viewpoint have to say about these things I know you know? You've mentioned that you talk to politicians - any chance you've talked to them about the way in which they characterize terrorism?

Why must you constantly lie? Where did I say ANYTHING was limited to truthers. I was talking specifically about your description of homemade terrorists and how it perfectly fit the description of truthers.

Man, your paranoid delusions run DEEP! Care to show where someone has been classified a terrorist for a Romney bumper sticker which then allowed harassment by police? Or are you just making (*)(*)(*)(*) up again.

So what does your conservative viewpoint have to say about these things I know you know? You've mentioned that you talk to politicians - any chance you've talked to them about the way in which they characterize terrorism?[/QUOTE]
The politicians I talk to are conservative politicians. It is the *******s that brand anyone that doesn't worship at their altar as a terrorist.

That Raub guy was apparently saying all kinds of things, and it most certainly garnered some attention based off his public writings on Facebook and InfoWars.

Regarding my state's militia: the feds have been eyeing them for a long time. I remember as a kid my dad having to pull extra shifts at the sheriffs department - guard duty outside - because the militia was threatening to hit the armory at Camp Grayling. For a long time in my community there was an eerie feeling of impending doom, like War was on the horizon. Nothing ended up happening, but it was a scary experience for my hometown. And as an aside - most militia members are white nationalists. You should know where that leads.

Funny, you would think they could have gotten a conviction if any of this was true!

Indeed.. Involvement in OWS now gets you on the "terrorist watch list". The federal government now (extrajudicially with no warrant of course) demands private information about facebook, twitter users etc. who identify with that movement. In addition they've already done this for ant-war protestors.

When (or if you prefer, "if") martial law takes over and the police state goes full fledged, they'll know exactly which doors to kick down first.

Neither political dissent nor disapproval with the government, its officials or its actions are criminal, nor is voicing such dissent or gathering to do so. This is no threat to a truly democratic republic. Why then are they collating all this data on everyone who opposes?

Anyone with two eyes, two ears, and a window to the outside world can clearly see it's not about "terrorists" anymore. The government are clearly planning to go to war, already even starting to wage war, on political dissent.

Something many of your founding fathers warned you about.

Now domestic terrorism is a small issue.. It always has been, actually.. It is NOT justified, it should be dealt with in practical ways etc. However it's not nearly as big a problem as the Black and Latino street gangs slaughtering innocents daily. However, the country has always been just fine to deal with it, and always cracked on, except the time they were stupid enough to let people bring weapons onto planes.

NOW you've got, or are having, UAV's to patrol the skies across America, a camera network EVERYWHERE (read about "Trapwire"), OBVIOUS government interference in Facebook, Twitter etc., collating of information about dissenters, free speech zones, scores of executive orders from both Bush and Obama to authorize consolidated executive power (dictatorship) in vaguely worded emergencies, indefinite detention of anyone, even US citizens, without trial, extrajudicial executive assassinations of anyone, even US citizens, of course without trial, torture, pretty much every constitutional citizen and/or person's rights being destroyed or neglected etc.... All of this in the last decade.

If you guys think this is because of the actual, real world terrorists, and not part of a category any broader, then I've got a bridge to sell you.

    Exactly!!!!

Anyone who wants to dispute, I would appreciate if they took an hour, and researched the Salem witch hunt, before proceeding here.

The way it works is simple.. In a democratic society, as the constitution mandates, you PROVE that people you say are criminal or dangerous, actually are. This STOPS you from punishing, klling, incarcerating people that aren't criminal, but who you don't like or who disagree with you.

Instead, now a mere accusation is all it takes.. They are an extremist. So we are detaining them and torturing them (well they don't actually say that, it's all in secret. They just say "extremist" if anyone asks any questions)..

Well prove they are an extremist. We don't have to. They are an extremist. You think extremists should have rights!! YOU'RE AN EXTREMIST. **** about it or YOU will be going on the kill list as well.

The theory that liberals are to blame is partial correct, Patriot Act and other things that have modified the relationship between the government and us took place on Republican watch. Truth of the matter is: there are Executive Orders that go back to Kennedy that indisputably change the dynamic between man and government. Surely you must know these things?

No, I'm not saying that terrorists are only Muslim's, I'm addressing the current trend of the anti-Muslim sentiment that begins to equate Muslim's to terrorism. I'm not sure that I even said that to begin with... I don't see how that should discredit my main argument, though...

And I am not excusing terrorism, either. I am ridiculing the obviously false implication that Muslim terrorism (al-Qaeda is everywhere in every white nation trying to kill people) based on the rash of terrorist incidents reported after 9/11. I'm pretty sure that before that day you, nor almost any other person had really any thought for terrorism in your head, and if I did mention terrorism, you would likely point to something like the Oklahoma City Bombing, or Irish Terrorists. Could some of these cases be truthful, yes. But definitely not all. They even have documented- but certainly not publicized- records of a lot of the so-called terrorist busts that made the media that turned out to be falsely charged if not held up on the slightest of evidence.

But by your tone in your posts, you probably are only reading this to look for things to attack. Just try to consider that maybe you could possibly be exaggerating and over-exaggerated threat.

I haven't said anything about the scope of the threat. All I've done is point out that you trying to minimize the fact Muslims are behind the vast majority of terrorist attacks is dishonest. The fact you couldn't address the points I raised about your initial claims shows you're not in this to discuss but to make excuses.

In most states, it is illegal to organize your own militia. A lot of the people arrested for what they call "legal political activity" just make up laws conforming to the teachings of their ear crickets and then get all bent out of shape when nobody else recognizes their right to do so. KuKluxKrap and Free Men on the Land are good examples of such asshats.
