    The two opposite ends of the Wealth spectrum in the US: The rich get richer "financially". The really poor have no Wealth whatsoever.

    George Washington, were he to magically reawaken tomorrow, would ask, "What in heaven's name has been happening for 200 years ..."

    This is what has happened:
    *Copying from the English "monarchy", Uncle Sam created his own. At the price of warping the political process such that Replicants continue to stay in power and lower upper-income taxation (ever since JFK started the trend downward in the 1960s from the 90% where they once were).
    *Which has thus created the basic four financial classes of Wealth in America:

    The Sickening Rich
    The Really Rich
    The Middle Class
    The Poor Slobs Who Have None Whatsoever

    Bit of a non-entity, given the OP adopts a Blairite use of social democracy. Its all front, no radicalism.
