People telling a lie is justification for other people to take action and be accountable?

Do you feel the same way when liberals lie?

    Lolwut?:roflol::

    "accountability from the left"?

You have got to be kidding.:bored:

Event: Deadly Extreme Right-Wing Mob (Incited by Trump into Believing Absurdly Ridiculous Conspiracies) Commits a Deadly Act of Insurrection (and Domestic Terrorism).

    Take: "It's the "left's fault...I want "accountability"..."

You can't make this stuff up.:smh:

Anyway, back to the OP, it looks like this Crazy "Shaman" is just looking for some free publicity.
It is hard to imagine that the Senate would take him up on his offer.

let him try! No matter how you spin it, Trump never said "Storm the capital" and no amount of spin can EVER change that. Run along now.

Get back to the gun metaphor. Doesn't make sense to me.

The more I think about it, it's not really that he wants to testify against Trump. He wants to build up the idea that he is not guilty because he was just following Trump's directive. He probably can't play the "mentally incapacitated" card so he has to play the "acting as a devout servant of my leader" card.

Clearly he wants to save his ***.

Probably he has understood the real nature of the crime he committed:
it wasn't about invading the Congress [who really cares? Come on!] ... it was about his criminal look! It's a crime against humanity to look so absurd!

    [This was revolutionary satire!]

They were screaming "we were sent here by the president of the United States." Not sure what that means legally, but if they thought they were following POTUS orders, perhaps such a defense will hold up.

This will be great if this becomes the way the judicial system works. Next time Maxine Waters rails about getting in their faces, give them no peace, confront them at gas filling stations, confront them at restaurants, then I can go punch someone in the face and then claim that I did it because Maxine told me to? And Maxine takes the punishment?

The legal question would be "would a person of sound mind and body REASONABLY make such a conclusion?"

You are correct HB, they should not have stepped foot in the capital. But what this goofball IS showing, is that the lies that Trump was propagating WERE actually inciting the masses.

Sad, sick, and stupid were Donnie's Terrorists first in believing the Trumpocity and committing murder and crimes against their country in the name of The Trumpocity. Second sad, sick and stupid in believing that the Trumpocity actually would give a Schiest about his fools. Third sad, sick, and stupid that his ( POS's ) gullibles can believe in QANON. but they do and they get elected to Congress.

As Biden said, words can either inspire or they can incite. Maybe it wasn't Trump's intention to incite a riot, but the fact is, he incited a riot with his words. Insurrection/sedition on the other hand, are harder to prove. But a riot? Unmistakably so.

It would be funny but that would best be something that is done on SNL. Such as stunt as funny, sad, and true to life as it is could very well backfire. Yet if one is honest even a Yrump supporter must admit that if the Clown Shoes were on the other foot and Moskva Mitch was in charge Moskva or Jim Jordan would try such a stunt in a nano second.

well Trump did say to peacefully protest, so maybe his defense should be blaming the democrats and the media for redefining "peaceful" I mean we have had years of BLM and antifa burning and rioting and it being labeled as "peaceful" so..

Pointing out the disclaimer will backfire. Indeed, that Trump felt a need for a disclaimer tells us his intent right there. Not gonna work.

Which would bring us back to mental capacity. Looks like one supports the other, but it's a high bar to be declared mentally incompetent to stand trial. Maybe the attorneys are looking for sympathy.

As I recall and my recollections are very often right on target ( he he) the Trumpocity did not say peaceful until after the terrorist riot started. The last marching orders that I recall given by Bonespurs was before the terrorist mob headed for the Capitol and that was Field Marshall von Bonespurs saying that he will go to the Capitol with his terrorists.

    Ah, the Nuremburg defence.
Mixed results in cases where ''I was just following orders'' has been used.
It failed for everyone who tried it in 1945.
