And of the right on the fact that significant campaign donors are a much, much smaller one.

So again I'll ask you....who pays for ballots and voting machines?

I assumed the context of and reasons for the OP were obvious. My bad.

The same people who pay a lot more for the military. As you know perfectly well, but are disingenuously pretending not to.

So the taxpayers. So you admit voter IDs would not in fact be free as taxpayers would pay for voter ID. Thank you for finally admitting to that fact.

Yes. Your question was self-evidently rhetorical, so my rhetorical question was an appropriate rejoinder.
    Are you serious with that?

You keep avoiding answer with an actual direct answer so yes, I did seriously asking again

 I never disputed it, so why would you deceitfully pretend that I was "admitting" it? I simply pointed out your factual error in claiming the VOTER would pay for it. Remember that?

Yes, my mistake was in overestimating your ability to discern the relevant context.

No. Your question's answer was so self-evidently obvious that it must have been rhetorical, not serious. You were just disingenuously pretending to ask a serious question, as all readers are aware, including you.

Um...a voter pays taxes, correct? Whether it's sales or property tax. Those taxes fund towns/cities do they not? So yes, the voter does pay for it. Unless of course you think towns have bake sales to buy ballots and voting machines. I dunno...maybe you do.

The OP is about voter fraud. You're the one who is way off

Nope. The OP had two parts: The first about voter ID, the second about electronic voting machines vs paper ballots. The former is commonly raised in the context of barriers to voting faced by poor people who may not have ID.

Incorrect. There is of course a large overlap between the two, but they are not the same set.

You are just trying to evade the fact that everyone's vote is the same, but their tax liabilities, and thus how much they contribute to the costs of elections, are very different.
If they don't own property or buy stuff that has sales tax...?
    False.

Nope. The OP is FOR voter ID as a way to combat his perceived notion of rampant voter fraud.

No, he is FOR voter ID as a simple way to secure the franchise for all while limiting fraud. He did not mention rampant voter fraud.

Voters don't pay taxes? Are you serious? You really think there are people who don't buy ANYTHING at all that has a sales tax? Wow...smfh...sigh

And while there are people who don't own property they indirectly pay for property tax through their rent. You really think landlords don't account for property taxes in the rent they charge?

You're not making sense. We don't need a voter ID to afford us the right to vote. We already have that right. The OPs only concern is with voter fraud

Most do, of course, but it is no longer considered a qualification for voting, and for good reasons.
I know some. Of course, sales taxes differ by jurisdiction, but it is disingenuous and misleading to pretend that voters and taxpayers are the same people.
Only a portion of the improvement value portion of property taxes can be passed on to tenants. A tenant who is not paying for improvements pays no property tax. Google "tax incidence" and start reading.
I am quite certain they do not. They just charge whatever the market will bear. If a given landlord were somehow magically exempt from paying property taxes on a certain property, do you think he would obligingly reduce the rents for the tenants there? Really? Why would he?
