I want Congress and the President to work on the real problems facing the US.
    Not the red herrings.

Leave federal gun laws as they are (94%, 8,941 Votes)
Expand background checks, ban assault weapons and limit the capacity of magazines (4%, 380 Votes)
Only expand background checks (2%, 235 Votes)

Totals 8941 leave alone, 615 total against leaving things alone....and from PBS???? They won't be doing any polls like that again eh?

No one can ever argue the 90 percent wasn't a lie again.

"Leave federal gun laws as they are (95%, 30,179 Votes)"

So much for Obama's hissy fit.

tainted questionnaire...guided answers....what does one need to elicit the desired response from a select group of respondents.
Not for one minute do I believe this drivel. 90% of America cant agree on toilet paper. This poll qualifies as toilet paper.
That being said, I have a tendency to believe 94% of Americans say leave this stuff alone.
Question: Do you really know what a Right is?

A right is the ability to exercise an action without needing permission of others.

logic dictates that in order for an extended background check to be accurate, it needs names.
The names can be a series of source which may or may not be accurate.
Owners have legally bought and sold guns for generations and for the most part, did it smartly. Those guns bought and sold through the criminal world are usually reused by the criminals. They recirculate firearms through stealing from one another, prizes for shootouts, and other gangs who got them from who knows where. They do come in from across the border, but what difference does that make because they stole them from us to begin with. Now the criminals have a lot of guns on one hand, and on the other we have people who actually believe that by redefining the word Right to justify some false sense of socialism. I've not heard one person in here demand that you carry a firearm because it is your duty. We've basically told the opposing side that they need to mind their own business and put their heads together and recall Obama borrowed the 14 trillion dollars and gave it to the banks.
the same drummer you may be marching to, will decide your fate as well. Reconsider. We're not all idiots. If we were, most of us wouldn't be around tonight.......

Or they were sold to them by our government.
