for example, from a Western political forum i would expect understanding that the difference between which political party or president rule the West at the moment is as considerable as the difference between Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola.

Because they're real people=) The temporary loony extremist progressives here are probably children who jump from place to place creating new accounts.

Yah, no. They are straight up and openly trashing the mods here. If that's who you want to align yourself with....go ahead.

From what I've seen it's pretty even, but as always the radicals on both sides seem to be louder than everyone else.

and guns, and umm forget about owning your own labor, then you cant use that labor to work unless your labor is worth X amount, anti-choice education and so on. Apart from liberty, freedom and pursuit happiness are all for govt granted rights.

Surely you jest, they're as right wing as they come. You know thats taken from John (free market, small govt, small taxation, liberty, propety and natural rights) Locke? Lefties tell us there are only rights granted by the state. The closest you have would be the teaparty who are often called extreme right wing racists. Yes those classic liberals we're very pro European people, culture and traditions so no doubt racists as well.

It's pretty equal in my opinion. There's too many debates hapening to say otherwise. This place would get boring pretty quick if everyone agreed with eachother.

What's as RW as they come. Life, libertery...... is from the DoI. Rights are only taken away not granted, and it isn't always the gov't doing the taking. Laws are granted by the state and may put restrictions on rights if one wants to infringe on other's rights.

Without a gov't or some means of control, then it becomes might makes right.

The left wing extremists on this forum write incredible things, e.g.:

If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor

President Obama has al Qaeda on the run

The war against ISIS will be over within three years

    Hillary Clinton is honest

Bill Clinton's treatment of women is exemplary

Barack Obama is competent in the conduct of American foreign policy

The American middle class is doing very well under Barack Obama

The Republicans are responsible for the criminal illegal alien in San Francisco shooting Kathy Steinle

are we talking about moderation or are we talking about how many members are on the right compared to how many on the left?

for the amount of time I have been here the moderation seams fair straight down the middle
as for members we have more on the right but our left leaning members stay pretty active
I frequent many other political forums and from my observation the ones that are heavily populated by left leaning members have a left leaning moderation as the forums that have a non bias moderation has more right leaning members. never been to a forum that had right leaning moderation not sure if one exist

I guess left leaning forum members prefer to participate in an echo chamber and don't like to be challenged or cant debate against the right so those left leaning forums weed right leaning members out and discourage them from participating in their forums by having bias moderation which will infract right leaning members for anything and everything as the left leaning members can do what ever the want

And where did they get it from.....John Locke who is the opposite of the Democrat collectivist being free market, small govt, small taxation, liberty, property and natural rights.

We only need to look how leftist view a tax break as a hand out, where in actual fact its allowing someone to keep their property. Seeing it as a hand out means they believe the state owns the individual and their property and it kindly allows you to have some.

Leftists don't believe in liberty. They believe in paternalism.

Right when it comes to guns; left when it comes to abortion; atheist when it comes to religion; and generally a lot of cranky old libertarians who need a good prune juice enema

Not entirely sure which way. It seems like there are more conservatives, but that might be an illusion because they post more often.

For the record I find nothing wrong with this thread.
The idea that a thread is troll bait just because it ask an opinion that might be disputed seems absurdly idealistic for a political forum.

RWers then believe in maternalism. They think they need to be deeply involved in everyone's life and dictate how they must live.

Most posters are moderate left or right. We have a far right or left nutjobs, and some "libertarians" who do nothing but (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) about having to pay taxes for the roads they drive on everyday.

To the extent that everyone has an bias or partisan "opinion" on something, this forum tends to be just right of center and that is because of the volume of posts. However, if your looking for more than just an opinion; discussion worthy thought which contains both facts and logic (which unfortunately is not common here or most other forums) it tends to be center left.
