How can the entertainment industry possibly be deemed "essential?"

    You
    TOLD ME
    NOT TO.

So do cops: that didn't give donut shops "exempt," or essential status. Is there some reason Brad Pitt can't bring a bag-lunch?

I am talking about the specific print & tv news reports that you linked &, in who's "coverage," I have already cited to you the gaping holes.

Even if you might feel qualified to judge a huge (inter)national network, by one or two seemingly local stories, I thought I made clear that I require substantiation as sweeping as the conclusions that I am to draw from it.

I'm going to cut it there since, to continue, I would have to go back to your thread where we began this conversation, to retrieve your words which serve as evidence against your current statement. However, in doing so, I would likely lose part of this reply, & this is not the kind of stuff I would even feel worth re-writing.

Sure, the film crew could have brought packed meals, I agree. It just goes to show how unfair the whole thing is that they (the 'special ones') were catered for, but regular people (the 'plebs') didn't get to be catered for in restaurants!

Yeah, it was ABC. If you mean that the ABC source didn't provide support to my claim that Hollywood was an exempt industry, then okay. But I went on to provide this: https://deadline.com/2020/11/entert...in-newsoms-new-stay-at-home-order-1234619285/

Are you referring to me calling CNN and MSNBC biased leftist garbage? If so, then that wasn't
based on one or two seemingly local stories.

Where did you come up with that? OBVIOUSLY, I am referring to the thing we are talking about. You provided a link, along w/ your Gavin Newsome question. It had an article & a local tv news clip. In my answer to your question, I cited a number of basic things that I would need to know, to come to any conclusion, and noted that this information was missing from the media in your link. Then I say, "Your sources sucked," which you initially thought was meant to apply to the entire ABC News Network. So I had to go through & explain what I just had to explain again, as part of this answer: that I was talking just about the specific article & news clip. Hallelujah! You get it! But I follow that explanation, in the same post, by saying that I don't make sweeping judgements w/o equally-sweeping evidence, and you can't follow that I'm referring to the idea of you thinking that I might judge ALL ABC News from the tiny sample you offered? You must be stoned.

I was trying to get you to understand something about me to save the time & effort of needing to clear up future incidents of your believing I would make such unsupported, assumptive extrapolations. And, instead, I just make more explaining-work for myself. I need a shaking his head, icon.

I would say that the film industry is about the least essential industry on planet earth.

People were justifying it by saying that it's important that people had new entertainment to watch in lockdown. :roflol:
