AL-Qaeda, Taliban, ISIS, North Korea, Syria, Palestine- yes all these and many more are associated with some kind of threats. Some of them are religious fanaticism and others are associated with nuclear weapons. This proves the world is getting a becoming worse place to live in. Today Paris, Tomorrow Washington, the day after tomorrow London and the like. All are under threats? The west is comparatively prosperous and yet they are facing threats of terrorism and the east is threatened differently- to go hungry, to live starved, to be dead prematurely. Where is safety? Terrorism in the west is self created. America together its allies is mainly accountable for what is happening. They are attacking countries and in the name of annihilating terrorists they are killing so many innocent people. Take Iraq for instance, so many innocent Iraqis were killed, so many Vietnamese were killed, and they are still killing innocent Syrians. The common man in the US cannot understand the real cause or the real action. They are manipulating numbers. They say communists have killed many but they have killed more. If they want terrorism to stop they must first stop their own brutal activities. This is the wrong course to annihilate terrorism. Change of heart works not weaponry. It is not the war strategy that works.We must study humans and their psychology that helps us root out terrorism. We are answering terrorists through terrorism. Let us rethink a different strategy this time.
Yes, I strongly agree. The strategy in my opinion should be to apologize for involvement and all the problems caused, make some form of restitution, get the heck out, and if any resources are needed from the region, to trade fairly.
There is no way of wiping out "terrorism". It is a friggin tactic, not a political agenda. Now if you want to wipe out Radical Islam, you have to replace it with something akin to Moderate Islam - fat chance of that happening anytime soon, since it is a function of "faith" which is not typically prone to logic, reason and fact. Addressing the root causes can mitigate the appeal of radical faith amongst those not yet infected. Terrorism (for whatever purpose) has been with us throughout human history. It has been used by both winning and losing sides. But it has never been the sole decider of conflict.
This is not a history of terrorism that matters nor I am talking about moderating Islam. It is our concerns and a better way-out to deal with this. We are dealing with it violently and we never can win over it through violence or counter terrorism. We will have to inquire and find out where are missing. What are our faults? They never accept defeat. It is human nature that does not accept defeat.
