Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested after the Kennedy killing at the Texas theater by Dallas police with a Smith&Wesson .38 Special revolver tucked away in the waistband of his slacks. That's what the police say. That's what the record shows. Sargent Gerald Hall, one of the first police on the scene of the JD Tippet killing, broadcasts back to his HQ that the suspect is carrying a .38 automatic pistol, based on the spent shell casing found and identified at the murder scene. The vital point: the ammunition for an automatic .38 pistol (used to kill Tippit) is not interchangeable with the .38 revolver (taken off Oswald). http://www.orwelltoday.com/jfkoswaldgunplanted.shtml A better overview...http://theamericanchronicle.blogspot.com/2012/02/who-killed-officer-j-d-tippit.html
Evidence only of a minor error which is irrelevant. The spent casings and bullets were in fact proven to have come from OSwald's weapon even IF one officer made a minor error in identifying details. He killed Tibbets and there is no doubt of that
