    I'm paying attention.

A world where people like Simon Cowell are regarded as heroes is well down the path of mediocrity.

There's nothing particularly "new" or innovative about the process by which we are achieving the "decline and fall" of the United States... it is simply a persistent, relentless decay and rot from within. Nearly everything about us has changed in the past fifty years, most importantly in the depth and breadth of our educations, and our individual goals and ambitions. Today, we are a docile, shallow, easily-placated people who have largely given up on the idea of individual achievement, settling instead for a hollow, "virtual" existence that is increasingly reliant on a socialistic government for sustenance. Socialism/Communism/Marxism is, and has been, a failure in every country it has contaminated... why would the United States be any different?

Indeed, where is Spain now? Collapsing under the weight of a socialistic modality that no country has ever been able to make successful. So, today they, and the Greeks, the Italians, et al, are dragging the rest of Europe down with them....

Why is the forum's engine double-posting now? Worse, we aren't even getting the 20 minutes that is supposed to be allotted for deletions, editing, etc. Just when it looked like the forum was running more smoothly than ever, we start getting this kind of thing again....

I mentioned not having enough room for all the poll options in post #1, but I did put 'I'm Bored' and 'Other' as the two options that I didn't have room for, which I believe 'Same ship, different day' would be something like 'I'm Bored'.

people are rude and hateful and disrespectful of others these days... especially if one is Catholic... Catholics have always been hated, especially since Luther came on the scene. But these days it is really bad

yet there is only ONE Church

God is not the author of confusion

    anyone can count to one
