in time, it was actually written closer to Jesus's death then the modern day Bible, no modern bible is as old - that is as closest to the true bible of Christians back then you can get

lot of the same stories, just some added, some removed and some modified in the current version

at some point, Christian leaders decided the bible needed a tweak and we even know when in history that was don't we, a Roman emperor long ago, this just proves it

RE: How does a secular or atheist person get a religious and / or spiritual experience?
SUBTOPIC: A question of the Bible...
    ⁜→ chris155au, FreshAir, et al,

    BLUF:
A collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures does not a "Bible" make. While nearly all "Bibles" have such a collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures → NOT all collections of religious texts, writings, or scriptures constitute a "Bible."

    (OBSERVATIONAL INTEREST)

If you're not reading the same bible as the Christians in 144 AD - you're reading just another book.
The Very First Bible is not only the foundation of faith that virtually every denomination traces its
canonical roots back to - it's also the only place you'll find the gospel preached by Paul the Apostle.
    ...................................................................................................................................First Bible Network

    (COMMENT)

Even I could put a collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures in a typical Bible format and publish it. I can even make a new Bible (reprint a 16th Century Grimoire beyond copyright reach) for 501(c)(3) purposes.

Religion is full of examples in fraud; whether it be mainstream Christianity (Jim & Tammy Bakker or Jimmy Swaggart) or Cult-like (David Koresh or Jim Jones) activity. Calling some collection of materials a "Bible" does not mean it is a true Bible.

and this bible discovered may be just that book... as it was from that time period

That's what I've always believed. I've never thought of the Quran as a bible. I've thought of it as the Quran.

well, I am assuming 2000 years ago was Jesus's time, but you're right, we do not even know that he really existed during that time

Do you think that this is saying that any old collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures can be considered a Bible?

    https://www.lastampa.it/vatican-insider/en/2012/03/05/news/the-gospel-of-barnabas-hoax-1.36491112

"this extraordinary discovery is probably a hoax, the work of a forger who, according to some, could have been a European Jewish scholar from the Middle Ages. The most factual criticisms have come from the Syriacs. Indeed, anyone who speaks modern Assyrian (also known as neo-Aramaic) will find the inscription on the so-called ‘Gospel of Barnabas’ easy to read. However errors are just as easy to make out.

someone forged a bible 2000 years ago in Jesus's time, or could it be the current version created much later is the forgery?

seems the closer you get back to the Original, the more likely it is to be the true version

that is why the Vatican is concerned about this, kinda hard to call it a hoax after this bible was discovered, the Vatican has been trying to bury this Bible story for years, now we find a 2000 year old Bible that confirms it

the Vatican doesn't like the story cause it shows Jesus was not Crucified, but that someone was Crucified in Jesus's place

A Christian Bible as defined by "a collection of religious texts, writings, or scriptures?"
