"How I Met Your Mother" finally shows the "Mother" and the surprise is, she's just a normal looking woman, nothing special. And I read through the forums and the fans have just about had enough of this show, since they dragged it out eight seasons to finally get to this point. In this last season we've had mostly filler episodes that do nothing to move the main story along, which, like the title says "How I Met Your Mother." And now it turns that next season, all 22 episodes, will be dedicated to ONE WEEKEND. So we'll never see Ted and the Mother interacting as a couple. I wish now I could go into a time machine and get back the hours I spent watching this show.
I feel sorry for Ted's kids, having to listen to all of this crap for 6 years. Imagine having to hear about all the women your dad banged. I hope on the final episode, it's revealed that their den is really an underground shelter where they are hiding during the Zombie Apocalypse and Ted is trying to pass the time by boring his kids to death.
The writers assume that in the year 2030, Ted's living room will still be standing, and Western Civilization has not been extinguished. I think that's a pretty tall assumption.
