Wrong. First someone has to convinced a judge to issue a temporary detention Oder. Then you are held for a limit number of hours then required to have full hearing. The Govt just can’t take you against your will, due process is required at all stages

Wrong. A 72 hour hold is not done by a judge. I did dozens of them. A judge comes after 72 hours

do you know how many million Americans take prescription drugs for mental health issues?
how many do you think will not seek professional help for a mental health issue knowing a right will be taken away if they do?
also you are violating doctor patient confidentiality

No. A doctor alone signs off on a 72 hour hold. After 72 hours then a hearing is held. You are just wrong

Maybe in your state...not mine. Someone can’t be involuntaryly held with out judical approval. You’re state would be violating the 5th amendment

Every state has a law that addresses this. In my state it is called a legal 2000. I filled out many many of them

Legal 2000? What’s the code section? It’s a simple question...what authority gives a doctor the right to take someone’s liberty?

Police officers have legal authority to arrest people. Doctors don’t have police powers. Once again, I simply ask you to cite where doctors have the power you claim

Thank you...your link proves my point. File a petition with the court and then the court orders it

Ok buddy. A guy is threatening to kill himself. Cops show up but he cant be arrested because he has not broken the law. They take him to the psych hospital.

How do they keep him there against his will until.he can see a judge?

You really don't care about this topic do you. All you see through the blinders is more gun control. We have laws on the books that would have prevented many of the "mass" shootings, but they were not enforced and instead of calling for them to be enforced before anymore laws are made to see where the problems are you ignore the current laws and shout for more laws.

We'll see. We're in the early stages of testing the "it will be worse" theory with Marijuana now.
