I can’t dumb it down any further for you. States are not required to enforce federal law. Immigration is a federal LEO matter, not a state one.

You need to answer the question. Why have republicans done nothing about illegal immigration in the past 30 years? They OWN the entire federal government right now. Why have they done nothing about it?

No, he hasn’t curbed illegal immigration. It has been declining for the past 7 years. A wall will do nothing but cost us billions of dollars. Unlike republicans, I don’t like wasting billions of tax payer dollars.

Well, we've been at this kind of impasse before, so it's nothing new.

Next, you may be at least partially right about states being able to refuse to acknowledge or enforce federal law! There are a number of 'shades-of-grey' in this mess:

Perhaps the answer would be for the president to declare martial law in the "sanctuary cities", round up all the illegal aliens, and then load them on trucks, dumping them out at the closest border checkpoint, or in the ocean, or whatever. That would be fine with me.... After all, if it's purely a FEDERAL affair, not all the weepy-eyed, bleeding-hearted, hyperliberal slobs in the state bureaucracies could say ONE WORD about it.... But, we both know that'll never happen, so the gangbangers and other residue from foreign sewer pipes win! Hooray for your side!

Lastly, as you know very well, Trump has been trying to 'do something' about illegal immigration and other foreign threats to our national sovereignty for the ten months he's been in office. What you flatly REFUSE to do is respond to my question, which is, "Why are liberal Democrats in cities, states, the Congress, and in the courts fighting him tooth-and-nail every step of the way instead of helping him?"

A classic impasse for us, rahl... not for the first time, and probably not for the last time, either....

Actually, as a native Texan myself, I grew up with Mexican people and Mexican culture, both of which I appreciate greatly! I've know 'latino' families that were descended from Spanish Land-grant days, and have thus been in this country even before the U. S. was a country! My people only got here from Germany (through Galveston) a little over a hundred years ago. But, they came to the U. S. legally!

I've got nothing in this world against 'latino' people -- but I've got everything in the world against anyone who barges into this country illegally! I don't care what their country-of-origin is, what religion they claim, or what their skin color is -- if they are not here legally I want them OUT!

 

Correct and some of the black skinned people are finally waking up to it. But like the white Americans way too late.

 

The Trump admin is deporting criminals, not moms and kids. get real. Of course if you're of the lib persuasion you're a kid until 26.
