I hope this happens. I truly want Trump to get the USA out of those who want no more than to control the lives of my fellow Americans. Top scientists sent Trump a letter. I hope he responds favorably. I don't care if other want us in that group, it is an total waste of money, time and effort. We have no control over China nor India and less over other nations.

    Complete bull(*)(*)(*)(*) propaganda.

The Washington Times is that fraudulent, lying rag owned by the Moonies.

Richard Lindzen is a discredited science-whore stooging for the fossil fuel industry.

There are tens of thousands of prominent scientists (at least) who totally disagree with these few bozos the deniers rounded up.

No scientific organization of any standing anywhere on the planet denies human caused global warming or the seriousness of the climate change crisis.

Heck, when I opened your comments, i hoped to learn facts.

What i got instead is the typical dose of Democratic party ranting and hostility.

Get back to me when you have something important to tell me.

This is the key concept that the climate change alarmists fail to understand:

The efforts on the left to cause harm to poor people around the world so that they may feel virtuous is disgusting.

    Another denier cult lie.

In reality, unchecked global warming and its consequent climate changes will harm the poor people of the world most of all.

We live in an age when scientists feel the need to suck up to politicians in order to get funding. There's no way this isn't affecting the conclusions they ultimately come to.

Have you ever talked to Dr. Lindzen? Has he talked to you?

My OP is accurate. Watch us depart that nonsense group.

Somebody said Dr. Lindzen had 9 peer reviewed papers. That is bogus. He had around 245 such papers. And he was paid his salary by MIT, one of this nations prestigious universities and he headed up their climate department. Dr. Lindzen says that the claims the oil industry were his employers is bogus.

That's the agenda, isn't it? Blame CO2 for what the privileged do to the poor. Like blaming the phony privilege of whiteness for the effects on racial minorities of ACTUAL privileges like land titles, bank licenses, and IP monopolies.

    Despicable.

They have yet to come up with compact and energy dense proposals. i proposed they get rid of Carbon Dioxide that they believe is excessive but they do not want to do that. They want me and you to suffer staggering regulations.

Only if the developed world limits the economic progress of the third world. By the end of the 21st century the average third world citizen will have the same standard of living as the current citizen of Belgium. The best and most rational way to deal with any local effects of global warming is adaptation and the best way to ensure the capability to adapt is by economic growth and the best way to ensure economic growth is 24/7/365 access to inexpensive fossil fuel generated electrical energy. Attempting to reduce global warming by limiting CO2 emissions is a fool's errand and an immoral errand promoted by those who refuse to consider the breadth of the global warming science in order to feel virtuous.

    Yes, their policies are immoral.

Basically, when you come right down to it, the "haves" are trying, and to some extent succeeding, in removing the right to use fire from the "have nots."

A fine denier cult myth to use when all the scientists are telling you that you are massively misinformed and completely wrong and that you are denying reality. In truth, you know nothing about science or how it works or gets funded. You have no idea what you are babbling about.

So who is on the list? Who are these “qualified individuals” and “eminent scientists” who have suddenly scrambled to make their voices heard?

There are medical doctors, mystery men, coal executives, petroleum engineers, economists, and think tank members. Only a small handful could be considered even remotely “qualified” or “eminent” — but not in the field of climate science.

According to the list, there are people who are “interested in climate” and one resident of Sweden who is identified only as an “emailer who wished to sign the petition” which, judging by the quality of the rest of the list, is totally good enough.

Some signers have no affiliation or address whatsoever (please step forward, Roger Bee, Barry Beetham, Geoffrey Billard, David Boothby, Claude Brasseur, Simon Breeze, Ray Cullen, Joan Gorner, Kurt Granberg and at least a dozen other mystery people, whoever you are).

Dozens of people on Lindzen’s list seem to act like central casting for these PR stunts, lending their names to many “open letters” and petitions over the years.

DeSmogBlog ?? Come'on man. But OK, could you please identify the names of the "medical doctors, mystery men, coal executives, petroleum engineers, economists, and think tank members" who are unqualified ?? Could Ray Cullen be Heidi's husband ?? And also the scientists who are not eminent ??

    The last sentence is priceless.

More namecalling and personal attacks. Standard for you.

Your clearly don't understand how science works. You're the making the claim these people are experts. Hence, the onus of proof is on you to show it.

And you won't even try. As is always the case, you just issue your edicts, and then you demand everyone believe them purely on faith.
