What's interesting about Hungary is that there is common Hungarian phenotype like you would find in much of Europe. You can go to just about any region or country and find phenotypes that are different from the other regions. But go to Hungary and you'll find a bit of everything. The reason is that the Ottoman Empire wiped out nearly 60% of the Hungarian population up until the end of the 17th century, and when it finally dissolved the Hungarian government began a serious program of recruitment. Anyone could have land and citizenship if they learned the language and took the oath. That ebbed during the 19th century, but when I was there in 2002 the nation was still underpopulated- 7 million in a country that could easily hold 10 or 15. I don't know if they still encourage immigration (mostly white) but citizenship is still fairly easy to get there if you are willing to learn the language and become an actual Hungarian. The ugliest prostitutes I've ever seen were in Hungary. That is a land of serious contradictions. They might not have been from Hungary, though; it's a gateway from the Baltic states and as pretty as those girls can be, some are woefully unattractive.
Modern Hungarians are a genetic mixture of just about every warrior tribe to have ever come out of the Eurasian steppes. They fought each other, slaughtered each other, interbred with each other, etc, etc, etc. They number a little over 10 million today. My maternal ancestry in Hungary as far back as I can research. I've visited the country several times now, as recently as last October. I love the Hungarian people and the food, ah yes the food. As far as prostitutes I couldn't say. I haven't paid attention to prostitutes since ny navy days ended 50 years ago.
I lived there for a year in the early 2000's. I met a woman while travelling through there and went to live with her. She was originally from Transylvania (not Szekelys), but was native Hungarian in language and culture (about 40% of Transylvanians are.) I was pretty much immersed as she was my only English-speaking link other than the travelers that came to stay in her rental. I learned some of the language, spent a fair amount of time in Transylvania, and met a lot of people from surrounding countries. While it's true what you say, it was the Turks who really depopulated Hungary during their rule and the monarchy and private landowners encouraged millions to migrate from all over Europe, but mostly from the Germanic countries (as they were the closest and most interested.) It was always interesting to meet a Hungarian who looked like they just stepped off the boat from Ireland, and and then another from Russia, and then another from Norway, and then another from Bulgaria. My girlfriend was of darker complexion and easily passed for Italian, though I have no idea where she got it as her parents were as central European as it gets. Her brother did marry a Roma girl, though. He looked very Slavic. My girlfriend and I would often go out in the evening. She liked to walk down Vaci Utca (the rental was just above Astoria station) before hitting some clubs. She had an ear for languages and spoke Hungarian, Romania, Italian, German, and English fluently, She could also understand Spanish and French well enough, and a smattering of Japanese, Korean, Dutch, and others that she learned from her travelers. As a game, should would translate for me what the men were saying to prostitutes and what their response was. Perhaps I was love-blind, but I have no idea why anyone would have wanted those women. I saw far better while traveling in other Eastern European nations. It's damned hard to find a good Hungarian restaurant in the states. I have no idea why.
