I can't be friends with political opponents

Parent have a legal duty to care for their children up to the age 18. Parents have ethical duty to care for children with disability up to perhaps 25. But it is hard for people my parents' age to care for anyone. Most American parents abandon their adult disabled children.

In Canada and Scandinavia, the State serves as a surrogate parent for all people who can not support themselves. In USA, the State acts as a prison guard for people with disability.

But I sprang to your own defense. Where you alerted us paying taxes to the Feds does not change a thing about your lifestyle. And it seems to me you practically love paying taxes to the Feds. What did you say wrong then since you think my comment is stupid? And it has nothing to do with adoption does it?

 

If you are who I think you are, born with autism, I thought you said here you have plenty of money. So are you just advocating for the poor who suffer disabilities? I have first hand knowledge that disabilities are a reason to collect social security payments. My own sisters daughter is but 50 and gets money each month from taxpayers. I sold a mobile home to a woman also who was grossly overweight who collected more than $1200 per month due to her claim to be fat and have autism. I was her agent.

 

Obama got big crowds. So did Gandhi. So does the Pope. So does AC/DC. Are they Hitler, too? Man, this Hitler dude gets around!

 

I have been to that enormous stadium in Nuremberg Germany and it is absolutely amazing. Hitler was able to speak to a million Germans in one place.

 

You were the one who brought up crowd sizes as if it somehow justified Trump's toxicity. I merely pointed out that even the most toxic man in recent history got big crowds too.

You have to be civil and take the high road, never talk politics or religion with your friends or loved ones. If they want to talk let them talk.

 

Come to think of it, I and 3 more guys were there in my car. I forget where we went to relieve ourselves.

One photo I took showed the 3 squatting and assuming the pose of Hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil. They tried to copy some photo they saw containing some monkeys.

nope, i have moral commitments about certain things and if you're a real dick, we can't be real friends.

 

We should be able to talk politics. We used to be able to, when it was expected that any group of 2 or more would involve folk of both persuasions. We weren't bothered by the differences, and didn't regard our opposite as irredeemable demons.

Of course the difference then was that we were interested in politics, we weren't ideologists. Very different proposition.
