Except for Vermont, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the other island territories, Oregon has the lowest rate of Covid 19 infections in the country. It has a lot to do with the fact that Oregon has enacted rather stringent lock down orders. Oregon, and Portland have offered relief beyond what the Feds have offered. Next door in Idaho, the least educated state in the country with the second lowest GDP per capita, where restrictions are few, and one is in the neighborhood of as much as three times more likely to contract Covid 19 and die.

Interestingly though, the greatest outbreaks in Oregon have been at state prisons and at massive Amazon type warehouses. FYI, a great deal of freight from Asia is funneled through Portland Oregon on its way east, the main rail lines following the Columbia River up the gorge.

Yeah Trump canceled out Obamacare -- the medical program we had to pass to find out what was in it. That from the most transparent administration in history, as Obama would have you believe. Trump didn't need a substitute plan. Just going back to the status quo was better. If the Titanic was heading for the iceberg and the captain ordered "all back emergency" he didn't need to plot a reverse course.

We have to learn the true facts. Very few Americans died due to CV19. Even 400,000 is not that many given the way it kills.

Trump never gave any of us CV19 but he did give us the Vaccines.

 

I am pleased for my daughter. She has a son and a daughter now. She also is blessed to have a fine man as her fiancee.Due to the crap job in Hawaii, they had to postpone the marriage due to CV19 restrictions.
