AboveAlpha... I began a new thread in one of the most active forums with the quotation of your post # 174:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/polit...national-wealth-must-occur-order-finance.html
A massive reevaluation of national wealth must occur in order to finance....
..... the shift over to a truly green and sustainable economy!

I just got back a brilliant summary of the numbers for the national wealth of the world's leading economies but.......
... it is apparent to me that we must look at these numbers and rethink the entire formula....... if we wish to finance the shift over to a truly green, truly sustainable economy.... and do it with the minimum amount of economic, political and social upheaval?!

Over in posts 7 and 8 here I quote one of your old threads and deal with one important aspect of this question...…

    http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=444327&p=1065856817#post1065856817

I hate to admit it but.... Richard Dawkins Ph. D. is basically correct!

Yes...… Richard Dawkins Ph. D. is correct........... the G-d of Abraham as depicted in the Jewish Bible........... doesn't seem a whole lot better than Allah of dogmatic and simplistic Islamic thought?!?!

So how do I as a Messianic Gentile / Christian.... deal with this fact?!

I don't want or need a god. I'm not afraid of non-existence; I was fine when I didn't exist for the first 14 billion years before my birth and I'll be fine once I return to that state. :)

Being an Atheist does not necessarily tend to make you less ethical than religious people...… the reverse can often be the case.

It was largely Israeli Atheists, Skeptics and Agnostics who strongly supported one of the most ethical acts of modern history...… the airlifting of thousands of Falasha Jews from Ethiopia to Israel in Operation Moses and Operation Solomon.

.... but in the pursuit of truth.... you might want to consider that about ninety percent of Helen Wambach Ph. D.'s volunteers could be hypnotized.... and see what they perceived as "past lives."

Dr. Wambach took these volunteers back 4000 years....... and they were still seeing / perceiving these "past lives."

There is something within you and I..... that existed long before our physical birth....... The Dr. Ian Stevenson research tends to confirm the Helen Wambach Ph. D. studies.

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—"

Speaking from my own experience, it wasn't true when I was growing up, it wasn't true when I was in high school. I am sure you wouldn't know anything about that. Now I am sure you will want to try and find something wrong with those times, even though you weren't there yourself. But you asked for a prophecy that has come true, and that's the most obvious one.

You require tangible evidence for something that is intangible, all the while maybe not giving due regard for the significance of the intangible, arbitrary basis of our physical reality (quantum waveforms collapsing into propabilty distributions of particles). That allows you to be immersed in a big zone of doubt and denial, since physicality is most relevant as home turf. I'm not a heavy-leaning God-advocate, but I do see the possible feasibility of a distant Source and some intriguing go-betweens (Tom Campbell's big-shot individual (an advanced but not perfect being) at the helm of each type of reality/universe in the complex multiverse).

This reality is a playpen for development of quality consciousness. There can be hard knocks to overcome and see beyond. It's not a class run by a teacher figure. You don't try to convince a child who is just learning ABC's and basic arithmetic that the child must also go on to master calculus or advanced physics.

Anything that interacts with reality and interacts with tangible matter and energy can be measured.

That would work if the OT wasn't around orally and written for hundreds of years, it's easy to look at the "prophecies" and say "well hey, let's follow this as a guideline and claim the prophecy fulfilled". If no one before Jesus read or orally spread the OT, then you might be able to claim prophecy fulfillment.

Any prophecy that is so general will eventually seem to come to pass if enough time has gone by.

There is nothing special about it.

It can even seem to be fulfilled multiple times if given enough time, yet the big one has not. The world is still here, even though the peak of the Roman Empire can be viewed as a fulfillment of the coming of end times.

Humanity has existed on Earth in one form or another for over 5 Million years.

2000 years is a blink of an eye.

I'm agnostic, but I hold out hope too.

A very stark near death experience happened to me where I was able to see death coming but could do nothing about it (spinning in a car whose tire exploded on the highway going 85mph, other cars all around us) left me feeling pretty certain that dead is dead. I felt completely calm about it though (during the moment I mean), my life had been pretty good up to that point and I wasn't afraid of the big black. I just felt this complete certainty that If I died then that there wouldn't be any afterlife.

I feel less certainty now, safe and comfy, than I did then. It'd be pretty nice to get a glimpse of the big picture that we only get to fumble at in life.

I'm on board with you and Tom Campbell on the consciousness issue, but a while back you were hung up on the brain thing and the idea that a cell does not have genuine consciousness. Maybe I can help you lose that, although it appears likely that you have already done so.

From Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard, we get the basic info that information on trauma experienced by a mother while carrying a fertilized egg can be retrieved as memory from the grown offspring. LRH was hot on the trail of engrams.

There's the hundreth monkey phenomenon, although a claim has been made that the supporting case was flawed.

Similarly, it has been claimed that rats practicing their way through a familiar maize produce offspring that go through the same maize pattern even faster on their first try. I think that was offered in one of Dean Radin's books.

Perceptions outside the physical brain and the normal five senses must also be taken into account. These include remote viewing, astral/mental travel, ESP (premonition content in vivid realizations or dreams) and poltergeist activity.

As the late Bob Monroe (mentor of Tom Campbell) stated, "I am more than my physical body...."

Perhaps the clincher is quantum nonlocality, i.e. entanglement, teleportation, and tunneling. The loopholes in our reality are showing.

    L. Ron Hubbard used to say..."Why bother writing Sci_fi when I can write a book of religion and make Billions?"

Although environment and condition has a lot to do with how a person acts and what decisions and actions they make.....a persons Genetic Makeup still determines the parameters and boundaries of our actions and decisions.

In fact in the same way our Genome determines that so does Chaos Theory determine all action and reaction in the Universe.

What we might think as random is actually an action driven and steered by a massive number of other determining factors.

Example.....even though a Quarter when flipped by a very carefully calibrated machine rather than by hand into the air and allowed to fall on the floor many might say whether heads or tails comes up is 50/50...in reality it is not and a Chaos based calculation can be developed using everything from the difference in weight distribution and balance o a quarter as each side of the coin is different as well anything from flaws in the floor to the tiny flaws in the machine that flips the coin....to humidity in the air or even a micro-breeze caused by a person walking in that room.

Thus even when a perfectly balanced metal blank is flipped by the machine in the short term it will appear that the fake coin comes out fairly close to 50/50 hears or tails but over millions of flips a distinct pattern emerges which allows us to determine which day's it was humid or not....what day's did the flipping machine need maintenance....which day's was the moon directly overhead...etc.

Thus out of what is seemingly random comes a pattern.

This is the same with how our Genome and Genetics will determine just what we will do most of the time.

Sure a person can do things that is not something that is programmed into our DNA....but our Genomes do determine what we will do and how we will act most of the time.

As example.....I was born with a number of Genetic Gifts as we all were.

In my case it was well above average strength, endurance, speed, intelligence but a complete inability to spell English! LOL!!

The funny thing is my memory is excellent and it has been suggested to me that my overly analytic mind REFUSES to accept much of the illogical spelling construction that is in the English Language such as i before e except after c....some times.

Anyways....we all are basically programmed to be able to have a specific capability in everything we are and it is environment and condition that determines just to what point we develop these things or not.

Morality is complete subjective however some people dependent upon environment and condition will have very specific beliefs upon what they consider right and wrong.

The thing is a specific persons Genetic Makeup will determine TO WHAT EXTENT the effect of environment and condition will have as far as how they see morality.

Thus we can have two people who both are born to very religious parents and are taught to go to Church or Temple or whatever and taught to believe in a GOD and taught a specific religion and taught to obey their religions guidelines yet even if both people are brought up under the same conditions and same environment it is possible due to their different genomes that one when they leave their parents home will continue to go to church and believe in a GOD and follow their religion and the other person will not and never go to church again.

    And WHY is this possible??

Because each individual has a different Genetic Code with different DNA Programming which does not allow one to consider other possibilities and allows the other to not only consider every possibility but as well to QUESTION EVERYTHING!!!
